changing how i do "file dumps" (Patreon)

hey everynyan, heres an overly complicated snoozefest post regarding how i was thinking of going about doing the "file/art dumps" going forward:

just want to know your thoughts on the file dumps i post every few months, that collect all the drawings, animations and the project files (Flash files, Clip Studio/Photoshop files) into a zip.

its mostly handy for those of you that like to look at the Flash files and Clip Studio files and see how i layer things/put things together etc. as well as the timelapses i include in them, so this probably only really concerns a fraction of you

i usually try to post one every 2 or 3 months, but also i'm wondering "...why do i do that...?" especially when there's times like now where i spent basically the past month working on mostly one animation, so what would mean the "Jan-Feb-Mar" zip feels a little "light".

the other issue with those zips is that they sometimes go up to 1GB+ in size, which i've been taking for granted, but might be a pain in the ass for someone to download if they JUST want the project file for that one drawing i made and not the entire months worth of stuff.

so what i was thinking about going forward is to change how i share project files. firstly, when i post a new cartoon here, i ALSO link the project files to it in the same post. when i post a new drawing here, ALSO link the timelapse video and project files to it at the same time - as i did with this Ashley post from yesterday. seems kinda obvious to me that i shouldve been doing since the start. so the project files are immediately accessible to you instead of making you wait another month or two before its available in the "tri-monthly zip file!"

secondly, i opened a 2023 MEGA folder and just collected everything in sub-folders there, and will upload project files/hi-res images & videos/timelapses/sketches etc. to there throughout the year as i make them, that people can access at any time. I'd also attach that link to everything I post so it's easily accessible at all times too.

the only issue regarding this, is it might be too much hassle and take up more space on my MEGA account i think if i continue seperating SFW and NSFW and doing a whole extra "SFW 2023" mega folder as well.
so unfortunately this MEGA folder link will continue to only be accessible to $5 tier patrons. What I'll probably do for $1 tier patrons, is make the usual bimonthly or so "file dump" post where I just now link to the individual SFW items from the Mega folder instead of uploading a separate zip.

Again, the links will still also be available on the posts as I make them now like the above Ashley post, you can still immediately access the project files/timelapse from the post itself, and then i'll repost it along with all other SFW content i've made every month or two as the new "file dump" posts for $1 patrons. hopefully this makes sense lol!! really all of this is just to make a more quick and convenient way for me to post this stuff and make it more immediately accessible to people, especially the $5 patrons who can access the master MEGA folder whenever.

i might go back and do this for all previous years if it seems like a good idea.
