I'm on sick leave

Oh. I just wanna give you a feel better hug. I've been completely burned out, and it took me months to recover. So I'm glad you caught it in time unlike me. And if you read this comment before the week is over, go and fuck yourself. You deserve it

I hope you feel better.

That really sucks, Simone! Take care of yourself and take your time. The crappy robots can wait. <3

Simone, I can totally understand the burn out. I had a successful Kickstarter and then felt like I had to work as hard as possible 100% of the time because these people were so nice for funding me and I wanted to give them what they paid for. But I fund you on Patreon not because of the content you create, but because of who you are. I just want to see who you will be if you're taken care of by us folk in the crowd. I fund you because I like you. And you've been working REALLY hard for a while now. I saw your talk at Google and showed you my little 3D printed car and I could tell you're killing it with all the hard work you've been doing. But I've felt burn out. Burn out is very real. Simone you have been working very hard for a while. It's okay that you're having trouble with that. It's very okay for you to take a break. Take a break for a week. Take a break for three weeks. Or three months. Or six. You'll still have my pledge here and you will ALWAYS have my support as a fellow creator. I know it is very hard to see it yourself, but you are a very special person. You are creative and loving and concerned for your supporters and for your work. You are genuine and talented and smart. You have already achieved great things and I am certain you will continue to do so. Just learn your pace. You learned how fast was too fast so go slower. You'll still have your supporters. Take care.

Oh. A very real thing I learned about crowd funding from Kickstarter. There will always be a noisy few who think you owe them more no matter what you do. Listen to them and consider their words as you learn to improve, but don't think you can satisfy them. Focus on your core supporters and don't worry about losing the foul ones. You'll live easier for it. I really want to see if you can live off the crowd. I believe you can. I want to see what that will mean for creators everywhere.

Hope you feel, and if you still need it, take another week, take months. As long as you need for recover. BTW it might be a good thing to talk about burn out on the Tested podcast if you have a chance. (Because it can be quite serious). And I'm sure Adam has something to say about it. Feel better!

Was wondering where you were -- hope you feel better soon. I need to take a break myself sometime as I am on the edge of burnout myself. And yes, of course, we'll ALWAYS be here when you get back. Unless I'm having my own burnout episode, in which case you'll be here when I get back. Wait, what?

Dear Simone. Please take care. I got my wife who got a burn-out. Nothing work related is worth getting yourself in trouble. So bottomline. Take all the time you need. You have to life with yourself for a long time. And 90% can be good enough too, although people tend to tell each other 130% is. It isn't worth it. Do What your hart tells you. It Will guide you. My wife gets adrenal fatigue sometimes and it can really knock her out. Always take care of yourself!

Omg, I can relate to this so bad. I admire you for being willing to take a break when you need it. I feel like I'm getting to that place myself. Just thought you should know it inspired me. Thanks.
