New PC is up and running. It took literally all day (Patreon)

It's about 2:30am (PST) I'm going to bed. The pc is built, it's connected, it's FINALLY running. I've installed OBS, Sai 1 and 2 and that's it so far. I'll be pulling the the SSD and the HDD from the old computer because that thing just straight up died on me about a day and a half ago. I have to import my brushes and some basic stuff and then I can get to uploading. I will say it has been a bit of a trainwreck this week but I did manage to get some stuff done. 


Quick question for you tech savvy folks: If I try and install a SDD or HDD that was running on Windows 7, will it have any conflicts if I try to put it on this Windows 10? I'm thinking not since it's .sai, .sai2, .png,  .mp4, and .mpeg4 files. 


side note: this thing actually starts to cool down our room now.

The HDD or SDD have nothing to do with running for a specific OS. However, whichever drive you INSTALLED your OS on, it will have that OS when you install it to your new computer. But I HIGHLY recommend going to Windows 10 for sure. You can buy it super cheap on G2A and stuff like that. Which is what I did and it's been great ever since. Again, you can use your drives on ANY OS but the drive you INSTALLED that OS onto will still have it unless you completely delete it, but I wouldn't do that unless you have the files for Windows 10 to install on a fresh drive if possible.

Yeah, I figured, just thought I'd ask to be safe. I haven't had any real issues when building the previous PCs, I did have an issue when I tried upgrading a Windows 7 to Windows 8 or 8.1, can't remember, but when I did, something about how the files were archived messed with them, so my video files were all wiped but I heard that happened to a lot of people back when that first was a thing. But this was a fresh install of an OS, not an upgrade, so I didn't really have any concerns. I'm more worried about just dropping an external drive and having it stop functioning rather than any real software issues. I think what I like about this build is that it's %100 new parts.
