I know Danny Elfman worked on The Simpsons and this had the most Simpsonesque music I've heard in a Tim Burton film. I wished all the cars matched color wise to the houses they were parked at. The trivia that said the entire story is meant to be seen through Edward's eyes, which is why the neighborhood looks so "fantastical", doesn't make sense to me. It looks the same before we meet Edward so the audience would never get that impression. And also he does all the topiary to give it that feel.

Yeah I thought that was a weird explanation for just a cool-looking fantastical movie, it's not like this movie has to play in reality at all.
