Omg I'm so excited to watch this after work!

Edoras, like Hobbiton, was one of the large scale sets built on location for the production of the Lord of the Rings films. The set was built atop Mount Sunday in New Zealand as a fully realized set (with limited interiors). Unlike Hobbiton, however, Edoras was completely disassembled following filming per the production's agreement with the New Zealand government. Even so, the effort to which the production went to get the magnificent wide shots of the valley are impressive. One amusing anecdote surrounding the production at this location is the very windy conditions which made maintenance of the set very difficult. The director Peter Jackson has commented on several occasions that he lost multiple pairs of his prescription glasses while on set at Edoras as they were blown clean off his face by powerful gusts. It is possible several of these pairs are still lost around Mount Sunday as the crew were unable to locate them. He took to having numerous spare pairs on hand.

scariest ork? Just wait until you meet a certain ork in The Hobbit =)

A fitting conclusion to one of the greatest stories of all time, bless you for crying at the end. We laughed and cried with you throughout💚

I think Magy really needs an emotional support hobbit after this

%100 the best reaction to these movies I’ve seen! Your love for this series really shown at the end!

crawlie

That was beautiful. I think your reaction says all there is to say about this film. Really, thank you so much for sharing this with us. The only thing I can add is that smol elf Magy = best Magy :)

cryptc

At the risk of a couple more happy tears, from the appendix of the books it's mentioned that Sam in old age, having been a ring-bearer (briefly) was allowed to go to the undying land and reunite with his old friend Frodo :)

You should react to a video about what happens in the fourth age of middle earth

Beautiful, beautiful reaction Magy! Wow, I can tell how much you really loved this story from your reaction throughout the movie and most definitely after the movie! I understand what you were trying to say about the movie... I agree, this movie really touched all the heartstrings and was a really a rollercoaster of emotions. And this 3rd movie really was just an emotional overload as it went about closing all the chapters the started from all the way back to the first movie. It was like you, us the viewers, all of us.. were a part of the fellowship and friendship. And we went through an amazing journey together and it is just so hard to let go and start to move on now that the journey has ended. But, like all the characters in the movie, it was a journey that we can all take with us for the rest of our days, all the feelings we felt will be remembered forever. So thank you Magy for taking your own journey to Middle-Earth and letting us experience it with you together as our very own fellowship! So for now, until our next big journey... namárië Lady Magy, Magical Elf Princess!

RationallySassy

It was a very emotional journey for sure. Thank you for sharing your reaction with us. This is my favourite movie series so I’m glad it touched you! Now you get to experience all the fun behind the scenes stuff (would love reaction to that but totally okay if not!). And hopefully the new series is good for you to enjoy as well

Wanna start by saying that was a gorgeous reaction! One thing i really love is how in the first movie, at the beginning in the shire, gandalf and bilbo are smoking, and bilbo blows out a ring and gandalf blows a ship sailing through it, forshadowing the end, so beautiful! The little girl sam was holding at the very end is his actual daughter, to think she has graduated from college says something about how long ago this was filmed, and how strongly it still stands with us today! hope you will enjoy the hobbit aswell, but nothing really tops this trilogy, as i'm sure you can agree on!

Quacksalver Extraordinaire

Thoroughly enjoyed retaking this journey with you, Magy. Now, if you want to learn something about the man who wrote this amazing story and created the world of Middle Earth, I highly suggest you watch the biopic "Tolkien." I think you would enjoy it.

is there somewhere a version of this with more than 360p? Sadly the Audio is badly mixed. The movie is too quiet and magy too loud . Anyone else with this problem?

Krisi Ivanova

The reaction was good quality for me, there are 2 versions of it anyway so you can use the one with the blur and I am guessing the sound is made like that on purpose so not to get copyrighted by chance

Tobias Panhorst

hm weird, because the other reactions have good audio mix i think. Only this one is hard to understand at all. Iam happy for every hint to enjoy this reaction. Right now its not watchable :(

Krisi Ivanova

I think maybe because it usually makes a lot of copyright problems so it might be just in case , you can check the blurred one where you have to have your own movie track so you can sincronice, or maybe ask her in dm

Doug Watson

I'm sure Eowyn and Faramir are glad you gave them permission... lol

Tobias Panhorst

I would love to, but i only have a physical copy of the series with no dvd or blueray player right now :D

2021-11-25 01:06:37 Anyone else wish you could just give her a hug as she cried at the end? :( I feel you Magy, I feel you! I knew there'd be lots of tears in this one! I can't wait for your reactions to the Hobbit. They don't always get a good rep but they are still good films in their own right and still entertaining to watch. I think you'll love them. :)

You don't have to explain the emotions you were feeling at the end. We know, we've all felt them too. :) I saw these movies in the theater when they came out. By the end of this movie, there wasn't a dry eye in the entire theater, and while the credits rolled, the entire audience sat there in silence except for the sound of sniffling. I've seen this movie probably close to 30 times now, and I still get tears at the end every single time. This was a beautiful reaction, I'm so glad you got to experience these movies, and I want to thank you for sharing that experience with us.

The Hobbiton set was taken down following the production of Lord of the Rings too, because it was built to be a temporary set and would have fallen apart from being exposed to weather if they'd left it up. They also didn't know at the time that that location was going to become a popular tourist attraction after the movies came out. When they re-built the set for The Hobbit movies, though, they designed and built it to be permanent, so you can actually go to that location in New Zealand and take a tour through a fully-realized Hobbiton in person, complete with having a meal at the Green Dragon inn.

Yep, Absolutely one of the BEST movies ever made in all time. Don't feel bad about the tears, As our dear friend Gandalf said: Not all Tears are an Evil.

I eventually did, but I was too busy at first trying to find my wife so she could give me a hug after Magy got me all in 'muh feels'. But, seriously though, I wanted so badly for someone to just walk in and hold her while she cried.

Fun fact. If you noticed when Gandalf came to pick up Frodo and Sam from the side of the volcano, he brought three eagles. The third eagle was meant for Smeagol, as Gandalf had hope that he could be turned back and saved and rid the evil caused by the ring. Gandalf truly believed in that. Which makes it extra sad. Also in the first movie when Boromir was killed, Aragorn took Boromir's wrist guards and wore them then entire time in the rest of the movies never taking them off to remind himself what he is fighting for and who he needs to save and to honor his memory/ If you go back and notice, every time you can see Aragorn wearing them all the way up to when he crowned king, he is still wearing them.
