You can't go home again. - Thomas Wolfe

Season 2 of Homecoming begins... now! 😊 We have 26 new pages to start them off with some art that I'm quite proud of and what is hopefully an intriguing beginning.

I can't wait to hear what you think! 💖

Now, since it has been eight months since the end of Season 1, I thought this might be helpful...

Previously, on Homecoming...

Three years ago, Chris was a successful med student who was engaged to be married to Kayla, a law student. That is, until he was kidnapped by Bella and her accomplice, the Cunt, after an encounter with a distressed feminine-appearing person outside the hospital where he volunteered. Held captive in a strange cell, Chris was forcibly feminized, undergoing castration and receiving massive doses of female hormones. Throughout his captivity, Chris was forced to act as a prostitute, earning "points" through sexual acts with clients or by undergoing further physical modifications. A sliding scale of points was established, with different sexual acts and surgeries worth varying amounts, with the ultimate goal of accumulating 5,000 points for release. A vaginoplasty was immediately worth 5,000 points.

During his time as a captive, Chris again meets Cindy, who's the person he encountered outside the hospital. She's a fellow victim of Bella's who was also transformed into a woman. Cindy's story reveals Bella's pattern of targeting men who use prostitutes, hinting at a twisted form of punishment. Cindy's scheduled to have bottom surgery soon because she's sick of being a prisoner.

Among his clients, Chris meets Al, a widower with a son named Dustin. Al presents as a kind, albeit awkward man, who treats Chris with respect and kindness, unlike the other clients. Al's gentleness and respect humanize him and provide a semblance of normality for Chris in his otherwise horrifying circumstances.

As Chris continues to navigate through his feminization and role as a prostitute, he comes to a point where he has to perform oral sex on clients to earn points for his freedom. He chooses Al as his first client for this, indicating some level of trust and comfort with Al compared to the others.

Throughout the course of season one, as Chris is forced into a new gender identity and sexual role, he begins to develop a dissociative identity as a coping mechanism to endure his traumatic experiences. This identity manifests as "Kris," a feminine version of himself.

The concept of Kris is first introduced when Chris has to perform oral sex on Al. As he engages in this act, he dissociates, separating himself from the experience by thinking of himself not as Chris, but as Kris. This allows him to mentally distance himself from the sexual act he's forced to perform, reducing the cognitive dissonance and emotional distress that the reality of his situation brings.

Kris serves as a protective shield for Chris, allowing him to navigate his horrifying reality. By identifying as Kris during his interactions with clients, Chris's able to separate himself from the trauma, viewing his experiences as something that happens to Kris, not to Chris himself.

This dissociation also affects his perception of his physical body. As Chris's body changes due to the forced feminization, he leans into the Kris identity to cope with these changes. Kris accepts the developing breasts and feminine curves, while Chris might struggle to reconcile these changes with his previous masculine identity.

In the present, Chris's story is met with skepticism by Kayla's ex(?)-boyfriend, Benjamin, a police detective and Chris's former best friend. Benjamin believes Chris willingly transitioned and is making up his story out of regret. However, Kayla believes Chris and supports him, even providing Benjamin with details from Chris's story to investigate.

In the final episode, Chris is confronted by the Cunt, who's angry that Bella's let Chris go without him earning the necessary points. The Cunt is also angry that Bella won't tell her why she freed Chris. It’s also revealed that Chris's release was conditional on him finding a suitable replacement for Bella's brothel within a month, or face being returned to captivity and the possible murder of Kayla. The first season ends with Chris vowing to do "whatever it takes" to protect Kayla and himself.

At some point, I expect a real shock when Chris realizes that he is both Kris and Chris and has accepted that subconsciously, despite his thoughts that they're two separate people. It could be great drama for Kayla to realize that Chris is both as well, to realize that the person she knew as Chris is really changed and has a whole new side integrated into his personality. Of course, if Chris really accepts Kris as part of him, how does that change his thoughts of 'going back' - which he may already realize subconsciously is almost impossible, both physically and mentally? When and how does Chris realize and accept that fact? And likewise, I love this story and its complexity. There are so many ways this could go, and you're doing a great job keeping up the dramatic tension.
