Hello patrons! Here is the newest release for DiCK! Now, we are finally getting to the end of this phase, where we finish adding content related to the Ludwick update. It took a while, but since the update added 9 new characters, and they all have a corrupt and pure version, it also required a lot of work to finish them.

With this done, we are aiming towards polishing the game. Our next goal is to rework randomly generated NPCs and combat mechanics because this is the backbone for other systems like management and how corrupting the city affects the population.

We want combat to be more narrative-focus and interesting; we'll go over a few ideas we have after we are done with the changelog!

CHANGELOG

  • 17k words of content
  • Talk scenes for Walfriede and Justin corrupt
  • Flirt and dates for both of them
  • Also, three new lewd scenes for each!
  • Fix a few navigation bugs; still looking for more.

With that said, we are exploring a few ideas for combat; right now, after you use your skills a few times, you already know what they can do, and the game consists mainly of getting somewhere, spamming an attack or two, and move on. It doesn't matter if the enemy is a gigantic troll or a horny goblin; your attacks make little to no difference.

So, what we want to do is to make at least every encounter unique and interesting.

To begin with, we are thinking of having only four classes: A martial class focused on combat and submitting your opponent, a trapper class, using both alchemy and devices to capture your enemies, a charmer/diplomatic class, who will use their wits and sensuality to deal with threats, and lastly a magical/corrupter class, who will use its dark powers to make their enemies bend the knee.

With only four classes available, we can put significantly more content into each of them and make them more dynamic and exciting; it also means we can do balance and bug fixing faster.

We will discuss this in more detail soon, and we want something to show soon. We will do our best to make this feature save-compatible, *but* people might have to fire all of their current workers and get newer ones since part of reworking NPCs will affect their art and hence, their portraits.

Thank you very much for your support, and take care! If you have feedback, bug reports, or questions, please let us know on our discord! We are quite active there!
