In many ways, it was no different from any of the mid-sized film festivals you’d find across America and Europe. There were the screenings, of course, and the after parties in bars and homes near the venues. There were swag bags and paparazzi, back room deals and press events with directors and stars, all exactly as you would expect from a first time film festival.

But Staci didn’t have to look too hard to see the eyebrow raising, and in some cases jaw dropping differences between her home country and this strange foreign land. For one thing, at least half and possibly as much as two thirds of the women she saw were diapered and regressed to some degree, always accompanied by an adult guardian (generally, but not always, a man.) A glance through her program booklet quickly uncovered a handful of ads for Adult Baby related products, including a few that were rather provocative, to say the least. (Her heart raced when she came upon an advertisement featuring a hunky guy spreading baby lotion onto a gorgeous, naked Adult Baby’s smooth pussy during a diaper change... she flipped the page quickly and pretended she didn’t see it.)

Likewise, the rest room situation was pretty awkward, with the small (three stall) Ladies Room being located in an alcove off the diaper changing area... a large room consisting of about a dozen fully stocked adult sized changing stations, consisting of a table, a convenient stock of wipes and ointment, and several large disposal units for all the used diapers.

She studied she booklet, trying to ignore the fact that a large portion of the attendees were diapered, many of them being pushed by in oversized stroller, slurping greedily from their bottles.

Staci knew she would have to check out Rhythms Of The Heart, and not just because it was the most buzzed about movie at the festival. The case of singer/actress Millie Cyren was well known: famous around the world, she married her San Banbinian manager, moved back to the island with him and embraced a traditional marriage: That means Millie wears diapers and is dressed and treated exactly like a baby 24/7. Rhythms is her story, starring the singer and adapted from her own autobiography, where she discusses her new life and contrasts it with her life before. All in all, it was a stirring affirmation of San Bambina’s values. Millie plays herself, and Staci was somewhat shocked to see the starlet not only have several explicit wet and messy diaper changes, but took spankings, enemas, rectal temp takings and more without breaking a sweat. The pop princess herself attended the screening, dolled up like a two year old in a sparkling pink dress (of course hemmed high enough to reveal her bulging pampers), seemingly pleased with the accolades she was receiving for her work on both the film and it’s soundtrack.

Afterwords, Staci went for lunch with a few other journalists, but she could appreciate neither the conversation nor the five star food; she was instead distracted by a middle-aged man in a suit tending to two baby women sitting at his table in high chairs, alternately spoon feeding them their lunches in between taking bites of his own. Staci watched him spoon up the mushy, adult baby food into the women’s mouths, their smiling, docile faces getting a little more messy and smeared with every bite. Watching the two women, so normal in every other way as they chatted over lunch, the surreal scene produced a profound sense of discomfort within her.

Then it was back to the festival to take in the latest in the long running Brat Buster series of action adventure pictures, The Brat Buster Vs. The Barbarian Queen. Lead character Matt Hunter, AKA The Brat Buster, is sort of a cross between James Bond and Indiana Jones, but his exploits could only have been conceived of in San Bambina. The formula (perfected in a series running since the early ‘60s and now containing dozens of entries) involved Hunter leaving his native San Bambina, where he lives a playboy lifestyle with a full roster beautiful, fashionable, and always diapered girlfriends, and embarking on a globe trotting adventure. Along the way, he picks up a female companion (always resistant to his attempts to seduce and pamper them... at least at first) and confronts an (always female) master criminal or villain of some type. There are chases, shootouts, and daring escapes not unlike any other action film, and by the middle of the film the female lead almost always allows herself to be seduced (diapers and all.) Hunter and his (now diapered) companion confront the villain and thwart her plans. The villainess is in some way humiliated by Hunter, often involving a spanking, before being diapered and regressed by Hunter and co. Generally, she’s taken back to San Bambina to serve out her sentence, usually accompanied by Hunter and his companion, who renounces her former life and voluntarily joins Hunters harem of diaper girls. On some occasions, Hunter even winds up adopting the villainess. This entry in the series brought very few variations on the formula, with Hunter (played in this entry by an actor Staci had to admit was awfully cute) seducing his brainy, rocket-scientist co-star into diapers about half way through the story. By the end, the villainous Barbarian Queen had been humiliatingly spanked, given an enema, and diapered on livestream in front of a massive global audience, and in the final scene, Hunter was taking it easy with both (now thickly pampered) beauties an a beach at a tropical resort.

She made a quick trip to the ladies’ toilets, making her way through the changing room. She was somewhat aghast to see that every table was occupied by squirming, soaking wet pussies and messy bare butts all in various stages of being changed. Staci tried not to gawk, but it was almost impossible not to stare at the sight of a perfectly healthy young lady having her legs lifted to have a poopy mess wiped off the sexy swells of her womanly buttocks... and not only was she not embarrassed, she was actually giggling, even as her sexy escort passed the baby wipe up between her cheeks!

Blushing, Staci scurried into the toilets, eager to get back for the next movie.

She made it back just in time for the beginning of Regressed For Success, the most popular comedy film ever made in San Bambina. A shallow, self centered member of the Matriarch class is caught embezzling from the charity she’s supposed to be managing. At her trial, the judge hands down the most dreaded possible sentence to a woman of her position: the immediate revocation of her status as a Matriarch, immediately demoting her to the Daughter and sending her back to diapers for the first time since childhood! Desperate to escape her position, she enters the dating scene and tries to find the right guy to marry and have a child with.  She meets and eventually marries the man of her dreams, and in the end she opts not to have children just yet, embracing her hot ABDL relationship with her new hubby.

By the time she made it back to her hotel room, Staci found herself too wound up to sleep, so she raided the mini bar in her room. She knew she had a big day tomorrow, but she was just too wired from what she’d seen at the festival to sleep. So she fixed herself a drink and wandered out to the balcony to sip it and look out at the skyline.

Gulping her drink, Staci sucked in deep breaths in an attempt at steadying her heartbeat. She tried to still her mind... tried to forget that she was in a place where most women had the social status of preschoolers-- and that the only thing separating her from them was a slip of paper given to her by the government.

But across from her room, there was a large billboard for one of the more popular brand of adult pampers in San Bambina-- a sexy model pointed her thickly padded, cartoon printed diaper-butt at Staci, shooting her a sexy wink over her shoulder. The young journalist finished her drink with a shiver before heading off to bed.
