"After the battle on Char, Jim had been wounded and left for death by Mengsk
Seeing her former lover lay there before her, The former Sarah Kerrigan took pity on him and ordered her Swarm to put him into a chrysalis. She had a way to save him and give him a new purpose.

While in the Chrysalis, Jim Raynors Body was gradually changed and infected by the Zerg, under Kerrigans supervision.As the Chrysalis transformation was complete, Jim was released. Kerrigan had inserted a part of her biological mass into the chrysalis, a component which was used to make new Broodmothers for her swarm.

As a result, Jim's features very more alluring and voluptuous in comparison to Kerrigan's Queen of Blades form. As the new Brood mother inspected her new body, Jim Raynor was no more. Rallura, The Supreme Brood mother of the Swarm had been born and she couldn't wait to fill her womb with essence from other beings from the Galaxy.
