Brawler/Beat-Em-Up Mode (call it Scuffed Brawler? For consistency?) is ready to go!

Okay, sort of. The game mode is ready to go. You can take a look at the preview here:

The beat-up-up game itself is working fine, however, I didn't have the time to incorporate the dialogue and recruitment systems into it, which was what my original plan was.

I did manage to do quite a bit though; starting from the Finishing-Grabs system I talked about in the previous post.

In addition to that, I added weapon-swapping and a new weapon-equipment slot, that will also change the character's animation set: https://twitter.com/Enlit3D/status/1448159137972424710.

Then I did a whole bunch of stuff related to the brawler mode; things like camera tracking, stage transitions, AI tweaks, ranged weaponry and AI for it, a separate necklace outfit slot, etc.

Oh and one thing I almost forgot to mention that there is a new AI behavior change in real-time mode, which is that nearby enemies will now keep a safe distance away from their target when they are are under a grab. This is so that the AIs will not crowd up at the target and block the view.

I think I'll stop it here for the brawler game this month. A build will be available for patrons very soonTM!

"The beat-up-up game itself is working fine, however, I didn't have the time to incorporate the dialogue and recruitment systems into it, which was what my original plan was." I guess that's about "recruitment" for CATC and "dialogue"/VN mode for all versions. So movesets will be tied to weapons/weapondata in beat'em/HRT2 like it was in the original HRT rather than to characters like in SR. (Completely selfish "gimme gimme") When adding music to the stages allow bosses showing up to cause a track change in Beat'em up version (though that would be welcome in any version but SR as it should load on a per fight basis). Still needs to "unlock" character voices and lines.

Looks pretty good, thanks for this preview. Hopefully you will have time to work on the dialogue and recruitment systems as well.
