About Today's Planned Update & The Future (Patreon)

Today was supposed to be the release date of the next update of Futa Paradise, but as you have probably guessed from that opening that isn't happening. But it's for a good reason (at least I think so), so I hope you'll forgive me.

There have been a lot of set backs in recent weeks that I don't want to go into here, but the most important one was planning out what content to add in the December update I was hoping to publish. I quickly discovered that when looking at all the content I yet want to add before I would consider the game finished, there just wasn't enough for two more updates. And yet it was also too much for one (at least one finished before today, December 20th).

I do not want to finish up the game with what I would consider to be 2 rather weak updates, which I don't think would leave a good lasting impression for the game as a whole. I would consider the first and last update to be the most important by far, so I have decided to add all the content I want in the game in one big final update in early 2022 (which would mean the largest amount of new content added to the game since the launch of v0.1) as a big celebration of the game as a whole.

When the game is finished, as I mentioned before, I want to publish it on Steam. A lot of additional polishing is still required for that, so I don't think I can give a planned release date for when I'm done with all that at this moment. I hope to be done with it around February, but I cannot be sure as a lot of other work related things have come up recently.

So what does this mean for this Patreon page? I don't think it's fair to keep asking for money while not providing updates in return (especially since this game will already be a paid product upon the release of its final version next year), so I'll be freezing this page for now so none of my dear patrons will lose money over this decision.

I will to try give occasional updates in messages like this one though, be sure to keep checking back if you're interested in the future of Futa Paradise. And of course I'll announce the release of the final update (and a potential new project after Futa Paradise is done?) here as well when that day comes.
