Baby, please... won't you be my fidget spinner?

In the spirit of the Christmas season, I'm so very pleased to announce... that Leslie and I have finally finished the entirety of the Friday the 13th franchise! All 11 movies, including the reboot! And so, I can officially give you my ranking of the entirety of the series, from worst to best! HERE WE GO!

11. Friday the 13th (2009)

10. Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning

9. Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday

8. Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan

7. Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood

6. Friday the 13th Part II

5. Friday the 13th Part III

4. Friday the 13th (Original)

3. Jason X

2. Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

1. Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (Part IV)

There we go! Probably not a surprise going by common opinion of the series, but that's our official ranking. Now, we REALLY loved Jason X. It was stupidly fun, and Leslie might even consider it their own personal favorite (with the caveat that you have to watch literally all of the movies beforehand). But Part VI is a damn good movie that does a LOT to establish the greatest parts of Jason as a character. But when it's all said and done, Part IV is THE Friday the 13th experience. It is the quintessential slasher horror. Without it, you can't really appreciate the funnier movies like VI and X. Parts 1, 2, and 3 are all good in their own rights (with 3 the weakest but also really fun), but if there is one Friday the 13th movie you should watch, then it's Part IV.

You may notice that we didn't rank Freddy vs Jason, which people also consider a canon Jason movie! Well, that's because we want to go through all of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies first! We've already gone through the first two (which we have a lot of thoughts on, but this post is already getting long). I'm sure within the next couple weeks or so, we'll have completed that series, so stay tuned for future movie talk later!

That said though, never thought we'd end up becoming such diehard Jasonheads. We really want to get the fancy blu ray box set with all the movies, or at the very least find a cute Jason plush. He's just our guy, you know? Next Halloween, we gotta do a Steg pin up as Jason.

That's all for tonight! See you on Friday!
