Man, one thing I'm always really happy about Rock Cocks is our ability to put them in really cool locations that still fit within the comic's reality but still look so damn cool that it's practically fantasy. Leslie is fucking amazing, guys.

Hope you all had a great Halloween! Leslie and I ended up watching Halloween 1 and Friday the 13th Parts 1 and 2. Halloween was... an interesting piece of film history. As something that modernized the slasher movie into what we know today, it's a neat time capsule and cool to see all of the groundwork laid out. But it's also much more slower, less gruesome, and more low-key than you would expect, with Michael Myers just being little more than a weird stalker until the very last five minutes of the movie, but those last five minutes do a lot of heavy lifting. Friday the 13th Part 1 is just an incredibly fun and well-executed movie from start to finish, and it's hard not to compare the two. There's very obvious similarities for obvious reasons, but it does feel a lot like the creators saw exactly how to expand on the concept that Halloween set. Part 2 is.... not as good. It's interesting, for sure, and once again, very neat to see how the foundation is set for the future. We'll probably watch Part 3 tonight because dammit, we want to see him get the hockey mask. We've also heard 4 and 6 are the best ones, so we'll check those out, too.
