Man... What a week. What a month.

Leslie and I are working with a team on a little adult video game project called My Naked Life. We've been at it for close to a year now, and it's been tough but have been making steady progress. We were hoping to get demo out soon.

Only problem is the game is built in Unity.

If you haven't heard the news, then here's a link to give you an idea of what's going on there. The related bit is that much like everyone else, we would also be greatly affected to the point where the project just would not be worth the risk.

I'll have some more info on that specific Patreon for those that follow. I spent these last two sleepless days scrambling to figure out our options, and we've made the painful but necessary decision to restart development on the Godot engine instead. We're currently in the process of setting everything up and reimporting what assets we can. Gonna take a bit to catch up to where we are and it will require a bit of retooling, but ultimately I believe it's the right call and will result in a better product. One that we don't have to fear will eventually result in potentially thousands of mystery fees.

Eventually, I'm gonna have some good news to write in these blog posts, and it's going to be GREAT. Actually, you know what? We got a Thousand Year Door remaster announced today. And I'm not saying we as a society wouldn't have gotten it without me and Leslie's combined suffering, but it's here now, isn't it? Hmmm, makes you think...

That's all for today. See you on Sunday!

I'm really hoping that Unity sees some sense and rolls back its plans after the en masse revolt of the indie developers, but even if they do, I fully support any and all studios who drop it like a hot potato. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go see if my budget can afford buying a whole slew of games that use the engine before the 2024 deadline kicks in. (I'm looking at you, Cult of the Lamb and Cities Skylines).

'Cus of how the buttons are and the color, my brain is saying Liz is wearing an old doctor's coat.

I've now got Sammy Hagar's "I Can't Drive 55" running in my head after seeing that last panel...If Seth's in that car, he must be curled up in the fetal position...Who the heck's driving?

I wonder if Mr. K used to drive Nascar...
