Here we go! It's this month's Singles comic! Click here to read all the others!

I gotta admit, this is way more of a Blaster Nation kinda bonus comic than a Rock Cocks one. It's even weirdly nostalgic writing a gamer joke in comic form after all these years. I figure Suria probably hasn't played many video games beyond like, the PS2 era of games when they still sold GameSharks. I am also an avid cutscene enjoyer and would NEVER skip a cutscene... That said, the Pikmin 4 demo and FFXVI's side content had me VERY tempted...

Just like last month, we're doing something a little different and posting our pin ups in THREE different posts to make it feel more like a gacha pull! You won't know who you pulled until you open your email! Even in our Patreon ads, we're keeping these pin ups a SECRET! If you all in the $5 tier want to see some SUPER sexy pin ups (plus all the previous pin ups), just up your pledge any time here in June to get those pin ups! Offer's good throughout the month, so no rush.

See you soon with more Rock Cocks!

For story based games, I always watch the entire cutscene especially with RDR2.

As a speedrunner, I get this lol

Jim Avery

What is she playing, I wonder?

Playable tutorials that you are forced to go through despite knowing how to play it do not count Coral.

Plot twist: the game was Final Fantasy XIV

Random thought; I wouldn't say no to a "Blaster Nation: Where Are They Now?" Comic.

Ah, Clover is a person of culture I see 👌

OH MY GOD! This comic hit SO close to home lol. As an avid FFXIV gamer, I ALWAYS cringe when I try to bring someone new into the game and all they wanna do is skip ALL the cutscenes and just go right into endgame battles....I'm like...NOOOO WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!

I never skip cutscenes because I care a lot about the story, but I am a strong believer in "EVERY cutscene should be skipable". Not everybody plays the same way and it is also better this way for replayability and speedrunners

Suria is a "old school" gamer. Doomesque shooters, single player off line, and the time before stories in games were just set dressing. Those games mostly don't exist today, but for things like the original doom, and maybe hades.

Indeed. People should totally watch the cutscenes at least once, and they definitely shouldn't have to watch them twice (or however many times they fail that Cloudrunner missile challenge or their first-PC-version FFVII crashes).

There's actually been a huge revival of so-called "boomer shooters" in the indie sphere over the past number of years! Probably influenced in part by Doom 2016 & Eternal bringing back some of the speed & action of the original games (though Eternal is a bit more controversial for its heavier focus on cutscenes). Dusk & Amid Evil are some of the most obvious recommendations if anyone's interested~
