The tropical storm that hit us wasn't too bad! At least in our neck of the woods, anyways. All we got was a little bit of rain and wind. Didn't even lose power. It has raised the humidity in our area to almost unbearable levels, though. I'll walk outside and my phone will immediately condensate and my glasses fog up. It's suffocating out there. Thank god our air conditioning was fixed.

The protests in New Orleans have taken a short break until the weather subsides, but as soon as they come back, I'll be helping them again. Black lives matter, now and forever. Not gonna stop after a week. Gonna keep doing whatever I can until we see some change.

I lived in Mississippi for a couple years in the mid-80s. I was young and fit and the humidity still laid me out. I can’t even imagine living in a Gulf state again.
