Hey, sorry to do this again, but we weren't able to do a page today either. It didn't feel right doing our comic when we could be doing something better. We instead spent most of our day getting in contact with fellow Slipshine artists affected by the current police/military escalation and offering them assistance wherever we could. Both Baton Rouge and New Orleans (two cities we grew up in and even based our comics around) had major protests today, so I spent a few hours listening to police scanners to make sure I could relay information if it seemed like things might escalate. Luckily it didn't come to that. I'll still be monitoring the airwaves for the next few days to help out the protesters any way I can.

We'll be back making comics when things calm down. In the meantime, please help out  the #BLM movement any way you can! Even if you can't protest in person, you can act as an information relay on potential police escalation (here's the site I used), you can drop off supplies to protesters (water bottles and healthy snacks, especially), donate to bail funds (you can find many in this twitter thread here), or just spread the word and give encouragement. Click here for an official site on things you can do to help and contribute. Please stay safe out there, and don't give up. We'll get through this as long as we continue to fight for a better tomorrow for our friends and family.

Talk to you again soon!

Thank you for doing what what you can in these times. Everything taste like ash at the moment, and it's hard to see a light at the end of this. You two rock.

Thank you, Brad and Leslie. Y’all are good people.

I couldn’t make it to any protests, so I sent some money to a local restaurant that was feeding protestors for free. Gotta support people doing good work.

*sends internet hugs* Thank you. This is what we need right now, more than anything else.

Thank you so much for this post!! Much needed considering the times. BLM Quick question, how much revenue did y'all lose posting this because if you lost any, I'm glad this community is a little less racist.

Question, instead of a black out would it be useful to promote a black artist instead?
