So, 4 days now of no air conditioning. Our house is suffocating us with its heat. It has consistently been 90 degrees in here. We've bought three giant fans, but unfortunately, the open-concept nature of our house means it's incredibly difficult for just fans to circulate enough cool air where we work. So we got desperate. Leslie's parents had a spare window unit air conditioner (I don't know how they have all this spare shit), and to ensure that the cool air would stay trapped, we've built a make-shift wall out of blankets to cut off our living room from the kitchen. And it worked! It's not quite as good as our central air, but we finally have SOME relief. Unfortunately, it's only effective in this one part of the house. You go anywhere else in the house and you can actively feel your lifebar draining. We've moved our mattress into the living room and we're just gonna sleep in here tonight.
