So, the last picture of Redd standing was more for design purposes. In reality, Redd is wheelchair-bound as a result of a protester shooting her in the middle of a 1996 concert. Both Redd and Sterling set forth a lot of things that people weren't quite happy with at the time, and Redd paid a high price for it. Despite this (or rather, because of this), Redd has become one, if not THE most successful, important, and influential rappers in the world.

Redd's wheelchair isn't as much of a chair as it is a custom-made regal throne with wheels. Here's a better shot of it:
