We've got the framing of a porch built! By next weekend, we should be able to build enough to make it walkable! Which is great, because boy, the temporary stairs the trailer people left us are a death trap. They're poorly made, rickety as hell, have nails sticking out of them, and I've already fallen off of them once. Getting solid, sturdy stairs to our house is going to be a godsend, let alone the face that we're building an entire porch with them. Sitting on our porch, writing porn comics and sipping coffee on a warm summer morning...gonna be nice. Though uh, we won't have any railings on it for a bit. Gotta sit away from the edges.

We're supposed to have internet this week! Keyword: Supposed. They gave us a 40 day time frame and we're at day 35. It's kind of looking a bit hairy, to be honest! Last week when I called them, they still didn't have their permit from the electric company. If this whole thing is a bust, we'll just try and get our money back from them and go with...[shudder] sattelite internet. Euughh.
