Lovely!! Just absolutely amazing! I love the backstory put into this, and the well written and motifed characters. The panel with her father is absolutely terrifying and I love it, and the call back to hero is an amazing addition!

Fun story, I really like it! Love the aesthetic elements too, the shadowy demon girl is the (relatively) benevolent one, the holy-looking one is the psychotic demon queen loyalist.

I'm pretty hooked and look forward to chapter 3, I hope this ends with Aria makeing the demons good, instead of a boring old ruturn to humanity.

I have a theory about it. Maybe all of this story is just an eternal loop. Maybe the demon lord killed by the hero in the first page of the first chapter was the hero of a past era. So, if we consider this, maybe the "New" hero trained by Aria will have to choose : kill the demon lord and become himself the new demon lord or break the loop and find another way to end the story. :3

Not going to lie, I am in the camp of seeing Aria fail and be fully corrupted.

But an important thing that would hopefully break the loop is that Aria would be aware of this, and I have no reason to believe that Aria will not try to find a way to prevent this from happening again. Also if she avoids the trope of keeping it hidden from the hero it opens the option for the hero to defeat and get possessed and transformed into the next Demon Lord but to be able to preserve his mind and avoid being corrupted, locking the Demon Lord away in their mind.
