me personally i never felt that Azula was Ozai's favorite. to me it was moreso he appreciated Azula's skills a lot more and knew she was capable while being disappointed in Zuko for not living up to his sister being the first born and only male. My point being, if he was truly so proud of Azula then why was she not crowned heir to the throne after Zuko was banished not knowing if he would even return sucessfully.

the actor for Ozai and then ofc Arden are both extremely seasoned actors so it makes sense they stand out the most. a lot of the cast are fairly new to acting so i give them some slack here and there, room to grow. (also the actual writers of Avatar did this episode and episode 1!)
