CTR requirements:

• Stable DRAM.
• Disabled Curve Optimizer (in BIOS). PBO – no matter.
• Manual CPU LLC (Load Line Calibration). ASUS - 3, MSI - 4, ASRock - 2, GIGABYTE - High. You also have every right to use whichever mode you like.
• CPU Voltage - Auto (in BIOS). Offset is forbidden.
• Windows 10 build 2004 or newer.
• Power plan – Balanced (tip).
• Some monitoring programs can cause problems. Also programs to control RGB, such as iCUE, can also cause problems. Tip - keep your applications up to date.
• Use the most actual version of the chipset drivers.
• Do not try to run 2 programs at the same time that have the ability to overclock the processor.

But how stable? I finally got stable on ver 13.

Anonymous

testing or running diagnostic now. i was away for about 6/7 weeks and tested yesterday ver .24 pub and was running like a charme for me. i just dont know why i see messages „bus busy …. and so on…“. Let see how this version will run. I just needed to lower threshold down to 15% since the game i play is using 17-20% from my gpu. otherwize i had no issues with activating game mode. As soon done i will turn resizable bar on to see if i will not perf increase.

Just been Playing CP77 for a couple of hours and have to say this has been the smoothest version for my system yet. Nice job!

Hi! The LibreHardwareMonitorLib.dll on the zip is dated 2021 while the same file on the ctr folder is dated Oct. of 2020. which one is new and which one is recommend?

Anonymous

Thanks, this is working great for me. I think this is the 1st time I've been able to run an OB test (calculate OB default) on profiles page without CTR rebooting my PC. Also game mode now working in all the games I've tested so far especially the games where game mode wasn't triggering for me in v24 (notably some games I was using a frame limit cap).

Anonymous

I like to run diagnostics with OB testing toggled off on tuner page. Once that is finished I hit the calculate OB default button on profiles page. It's pretty common and apparently OK for CTR to reboot your computer during OB testing. Most of the time it will reopen CTR on it's own after pc reboots (give it a minute or two).

Anonymous

most of the time it seems can ignore the busy errors. often related to another monitoring program on your computer. It may not actually be causing problems. I usually just toggle notifications off on tuner page.

Anonymous

seems stable so far for me (after lowing OB my 10-20 for PX low and mid) and game mode working in more games.

Works great out of the Box 👍

Is this worth a try? I already ditched this project since it only produced crashing my computer when idle all day. I'm running all-core 4.7 GHz @1.28V BIOS OC now and it works like a charm, air-cooled 82°C max. . BTW is it just a coincidence or is telling every 5900x user that they had a "GOLDEN SAMPLE" some kind of marketing trick?

Anonymous

@SpaceGhostC2C thats an impressive build you have according to the list :))) and an amazing result. GPU is water cooled i guess since no way you can speed through like that with 41degrees otherwize? 😃

Anonymous

that „golden sample“ is something what i‘m wondering as well. Usual are golden sample cpu-s rare pieces according to information i could find online about this subject.

My 3090 FE is at 48°C with stock coolers whilst having 28°C ambient, just adjust the fans a bit higher than stock.

When phoenix reboots the pc while on a Calculate OB run, should CTR start up automatically after logging in again? Do I have to change a setting to get it to do that? All I get now when I manually restart is CTR running with just P1 profile enabled; I expected it'd go back to the OB run. I may have installed it wrong.

Anonymous

У меня такая же история с последней версией: диагностика нормально проходит, а в играх перезагрузки и нестабильность. Откатился на RC5.

Anonymous

Hey there, just to inform that while doing an LZX compression with 24 threads with my 5900X the system crashed and rebooted... Just used diagnostics and activated the profiles, any suggestions?

Observation: I just noticed the update to v25 I had v24 cleared config 2 times as i do and reboot was about to delete it but notice it was asking for admin rights?...went in the folder deleted all but windows will not delete! "LibreHardwareMonitorLib.sys" So figured i will post this just in case could be the problem of others that maybe when updating it's leaving that old file behind and perhaps it's not updating/replacing it with the newer one as windows has it locked under admin? Will see what happens will report back if i find something. only reason i mentioned because i notice the *NOTE about those libraries. Update: tried different things and the easiest way to delete the file whit out having to mess with admin permissions is to reboot and as soon as you log in go delete the folder seems to be on a timer and after some time win calls for it and locks it. -me asking myself could it be something to do with the built in launch after crash or something that doesn't get cleared with the clear config button and windows calls on it after a few mins of log in?- well deleted going to test but also going to repeat 1st scenario and try and see what happens with v25 but using the v24 library.

I get a blue screen during testing which results in a manual overclocking statement from CTR, finishes with a Phoenix out and no results.

Same issue here with the current Version.

Dear 1usmus, using this verison of CTR or New Hydra, with latest Asus Bios with Agesa 1.2.0.3 Patch C, I constant get SMU Busy Notification, it is normal? May I have to change something?

1usmus

This is because AMD solved the USB problems this way (dirty fix). I can suggest you to turn off the notifications.

Hi there, little problem with an infinite reboot loop here - perhaps anyone can help me. Followed all requirements (BIOS settings) and the first tests worked fine. At the dynamic profile creation on step 5, CTR keeps rebooting (I stopped after the 10th loop) and won't skip the "bad" settings - any idea? THX in advance :) Last 10 Logs, all with the same content: AVX light mode Cycle time: 60000 ms Reference frequency: 4375MHz Reference voltage: 1187 mV Voltage step: 6 mV Manual overclocking mode enabled 04:32:31: Saving temporary settings... Hi, is there any way to hide the window after autorun with windows? It appears in alt+tab, and you need to open the window, then minimize it again.

Anonymous

Hey guys, I just bought a 5600G and disappointed to discover that no version of CTR supports it. Is it possible that sometime in the future it will be supported? I really like CTR, lots of options to customize. I tried Hydra, but it has basically no benefit at all for 5600G performance, so it has no use for me.
