Interview:
-Interviewer: Could you please state your name for the record.
-Blue: Blue.
-Interviewer: Is that your real name? Or a designation? Alias?
-Blue: It's my name.
-Interviewer: How did you come by that name?
-Blue: Jak... uh... my father gave it to me.
-Interviewer: I see. And your father was, the former Director of Field Teams, correct?
-Blue: Correct.
-Interviewer: Your father was a good man. I got to work with him on a few projects. I'm sad that I couldn't have been there in the end.
-Blue: I appreciate that. Yes, he was a good man. A hard man... sometimes. But... he loved us in his way.
-Interviewer: How well did you know him?
-Blue: Not very personally. Mostly from others, from records and logs, and from watching from afar. But I'd been on missions with him. He tried to keep us at arms length in the field, but he always went out of his way to make sure we were well-equipped, safe, and ready for any task. That was his way of showing he cared.
-Interviewer: Where were you on the date of his death?
-Blue: I was on a field mission. All of the field teams had been tasked that day, which was unusual, but not unheard of. And the order had come from Jakob... uh, well it came from who we thought was Jakob.
-Interviewer: Right.
-Blue: I was sent to collect an Anomaly in Argentina. It was a weird, crystalline dagger. Reports were that it could funnel or absorb massive amounts of energy.
-Interviewer: I'm not aware of any such object in AA custody...
-Blue: We were accosted by forces there to claim it for themselves. A lone individual swooped in and took it for themselves. Hasn't been seen or heard of since.
-Interviewer: No trace afterwards? No followups? No leads?
-Blue: We were only still getting our feet under us on a global scale. Tracking down something like that that just disappeared into the night? Not really a possibility without any obvious leads. There was one suspect, but they're now an official ally of AA, and have been vetted as thoroughly as one can vet an extra-planetary being.
-Interviewer: Right. Speaking of extra-planetary beings...
-Blue: The Lady?
-Interviewer: Were you aware of the Lady's presence during Jakob's, incident?
-Blue: Not during the incident, no. It was only after.
-Interviewer: Care to elaborate?
-Blue: The Lady infested my brothers and me. The original Colors. From there, they were able to reach and infest all those that were created after, from Jakob's samples, and our own once we were brought into the fold for mass production. You know when you have an idea pop in your head, but it doesn't seem like something you would think? Like... it's there, so it has to be yours, right? Who else could put something in your own head? And it starts as just... a little fleeting flash. A mote of dust in your brain. But over time, it's there, more and more... slithering about and tangling itself into your regular everyday mind. A worm that burrows into your thoughts. That's what the Lady is. A parasite. And then, once it's in there, it can morph and change, and eventually what once was unreal, what was immaterial, can burst out into the real world, a butterfly of horror and evil.
-Interviewer: Uh... right.
-Blue: You're going to ask me about him?
-Interviewer: Yes... uh...
-Blue: He's not, part of that thing. He did some... truly heinous things. But he's not... he's not a monster. Not yet.
-Interviewer: Right. You still keep in contact, is that correct?
-Blue: Yes. I visit him once a month.
-Interviewer: What do you think?
-Blue: About the Initiative? I think it's important. It'll help you all see what he was trying to say all along.
-Interviewer: Which is?
-Blue: We're people too.
