Hello there, so I got a problem

Basically I've been working all day on an animation and I had it 95% done and when I came back. The computer had a message for me:

"CPU overheating, check fan"

So maybe it's a fan problem or maybe the CPU is dead. People advised me not to try again as that might damage the computer. The computer is running very slow and after a few minutes of idle time it shuts down instantly.

These things always seem to happen at the wrong times. The weekend where businesses are closed and a day off in New Year.

My truest apologies but I'm not going to be able to wrap up the New Year or follow the program. I also don't have a second computer, a problem I will be correcting soon.

I will keep you posted but I presume this will all be resolved around the week of new years. I hope you understand 😦

Just fixed this issue on my pc last month, in my case it was my AIO water cooler, swapped the part got some new thermal paste and did a thorough cleaning and it runs better than ever

As long as the fans are rotating and you have many fans you should worry about CPU. If'll you buy a new one maybe buy bigger cooling to spread the heat, so it'll live longer. Always do a test on CPU temp and fans speed, usually 400-800rpm+ is enough. Put the PC on the floor, where the air is a bit cooler. Anyway check temps if everything is running as it should and you should know what is faulty.
