Hello Patrons!

Ambiences and SFX come late this month. We are waiting on several collaborations. Half of this month ambiences for Raven+ are this pack, and the rest is a collab that should arrive on Monday or Tuesday.

This month, I kept going with the "In-Depth" packs. We've have very good feedback on the last one.

I've been asked to compose wind-only tracks to layer over other tracks. Here are five of them.

Next month, I'll probably share between 5 to 10 new wind ambiences. I'll work on several high fantasy wind sounds, as well as other typical nature sounds and other niche elements. Ideally, all will be compatible with layering. If you got any request, it's time to share them!

Ambiences

  • Haunting Wind

These are excellent. A snowy wind would be wonderful!

These are all well done and very usable. I think Ghostly Wind and Strong Wind Through Cracks are my favorites. Similar to Ghostly Wind, with its deep tones, I think we could use one for wind coming up from a deep chasm in a cave..."Chasm Wind" or something like that. It could be layered over monster sounds, goblin sounds, spider sounds, etc. Another one I thought of...not sure if you already have it or not...would be "Airship Wind". I think there's some already for ships at sea, but I don't recall one with simply the sounds of sails flapping as the wind rushes over them (no water). Since airships often have a magic power source, perhaps a variation could have some magical emanations in the background, and if you omit the sound of sails flapping it could probably suffice for magical wind in a magical outdoor location. For future consideration for lightning ambiences, I recently ran a session where magical lightning was emitted in an outdoor setting, and I couldn't find ANY lightning-related ambiences that didn't have weather effects like wind, rain, etc. The ambience I'm describing shouldn't have any "zapping electricity" sounds like you'd hear in Dr. Frankenstein's laboratory, just variations in lightning coming from a magical source. I know it might not be a common request, but I've had need for such an ambience a couple of times. To help paint the picture...in the most recent scenario the PCs blocked a natural geyser which caused the earth around it to cave in, forming a crater. Below was an earth node containing many crystals where a korred was experimenting, and no longer contained by the earth, the lightning was shooting out randomly from the crater.

I took good notes, thanks. As for the airship, I already made it. It's called "Sailing Airship"!
