Here a few changes and news about MGS and our content.

Spooktober - Adventure Theme

We can't have october without all of the halloween content. Since we already covered the haunted mansion and dracula castles, we will share an Asylum (haunted and not) adventure theme. Meaning you'll get ambiences, music and SFX (Guardians and above).

October raffle

Like every month, we have a new raffle going on. This month, you can win two albums to be ready for the halloween D&D session : the Gothic Compilation Vol. 1 by Filip Melvan, and the RPG Essentials (Ambiences) Volume 6 by Michael Ghelfi. You can listen to them on this page.

New exploration album

Yesterday, we released the "Exploration Music Collection Vol. 1". You can listen to it here or on Spotify.

Like with any of our new albums, the "Chosen"-Tiered patrons will get it for free on the 26th of the month.

Computer upgrade!

Filip Melvan's computer leveled up from Stone Age to the XXI century. He took a few days to reinstall everything on his new machine (hence why he didn't share new tracks this month yet), but should be ready to share great tracks soon.

Having a good computer is central in our job. It you got a slow one, you may be forced to limit the number of virtual instruments, or look for highly time-consuming workarounds to compose the track you want. Not only it's annoying and tiring, but it also puts a technical limitation on the quality of your work.

Personally, my old computer used to take 1 full hour to export an ambience. If, after the export, I realized I could have done a better job at mixing or could have slightly improved this or that, we would be good for another hour of export. The actual computer takes 4 minutes for the same task.

Thanks to your support, Filip's talent won't be limited by technical limitations :)

Patreon billing upgrade

Speaking about the 21st century, Patreon finally decided to upgrade their subscription billing system. As they say it themselves:

• "New patrons are charged when they join and then monthly on that same date, instead of on the first of each month.  For example, a patron who signs up on April 12 is charged again on May 12. Patrons will see their next charge date at checkout and in their Active Memberships tab.
• Nothing changes for the existing patrons. You’re still charged on the first of each month."

As explained, nothing changes for you, but I just wanted to tell you about it. Switching to this model was optional, but I did it immediately as it's more fair. I used to feel really bad, sometimes even refunding them, when someone joined on the 30th of the month and be charged twice in a row because of how Patreon was (poorly) designed.

This is not related to Patreon nor audio. I (Michael) am a member of Studio4d2, a Swizerland-based TTRPG association. We are trying to promote tabletop games and fantasy. We just released a serie of GM tips for french speaking DM... and I'm the one giving the tips! The videos below have been recorded 2 years ago, but the editing took quite some time (I wasn't the one in charge), hence the delay.

We made five videos so far, and the content is high quality. You can check the playlist here.
