Asian Feywild Collaboration (8 ambiences) (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

This pack of ambiences was composed for a collaboration with Loot Tavern, however, they still need some extra time for the FoundryVTT integration so I'm sharing my part unilaterally. I will share their part later when it's available, probably early October.

We worked on creating an asian feywild. Here's a description of the plane :

The Feywild, also known as the plane of Faerie, was a an "echo" of the Prime Material Plane suffused with potent magic. It was the place from which fey originated, and from where the first elves arrived in Faerûn. The Feywild was a place of unrestrained and awe-inspiring natural beauty. The plane is always bathed in twilight of the setting (or perhaps rising) sun, with lanterns and fireflies providing additional, haunting lights.

For their project, they needed a 'zen garden' version of it. As usual, they just needed one ambience, so I made eight. I also made 4 SFX because it's fun and I know you like them :P

The ambiences are divided in four main parts, the eerie/enchanted and the Bambooforest /asian garden. Normally it would make 4 ambiences, but for some of them I thought that not adding the river was a good choice. And since I couldn't justify to not make a "no river" version for any of them more than another, I made 4 extra "no river" options. Naturally, some sound quite alike, that's why I wouldn't call that pack a big "8 ambiences" pack, as there are too many similarities. Anyway, it's just a detail but I wanted to explain my thinking process.

As for the SFX, as usual, it was a lot of fun. Composing them takes quite some time, but it's like the reward after the hard work on the ambiences. I usually make some tea, sit down and think : "Let's say I'm a DM using these ambiences. What scenarios could happen and what sounds would that produce?". In that regard, I focused on healing spell sounds, nature and a bit of music :)
