Gumihou: …well, that escalated. Here’s the aftermath, nice and realistic-ish.

We rested all night.

At dawn, or what passes as dawn here, we made our way back to the heavy door leading towards the Boss Room.

“Let’s go,” said Fer as he pushed the door open with his forepaw.

“Ugh, 12 of them…”

[5a]

““Fuhahahah! The chances of getting a meat Drop has just risen!””

“”Meat~!””

Yeah, worrying about them is clearly pointless. Right now, each of these Minotaurs might as well be a scratch card…

“Bumoooooo!!”

The Gigantic Minotaurs have noticed us and were now thumping towards us, roaring and waving their weapons about. It was like watching one of those large monster movies…

I can’t help the shaking in my legs. I don’t care how many times I’ve witness my familiars destroy these monsters. It’s not like I had personally done anything noteworthy!

“Let us take care of this quickly. Dora, you take four on the right, Sui, you get four on the left. I’ll take the ones in the centre.”

“”Ou!””

“”Yes~~!””

Dogoonn, dogooonnn…

Thunder appeared out of nowhere and struck the monsters in the centre, turning them into black crisps.

Dosu! Dosu! Dosu! Dosu!

Blazing Bullets, basically fire covered rocks slammed through the stomachs of the four on the right.

Pew! Pew! Pew! Pew!

Of the four on the left, their chests suddenly opened up as Acid Bullets seemed melt them up from the inside…

“Hmm, acceptable speed.”

“”Of course! Let’s check out the Drops!””

“”Meaty~ Meaty~””

“Excellent, looks like we managed to get three pieces of meat from 12 of those. Nice odds, we got lucky.”

“… …” as expected, my familiars were only interested in the meat Drops.

However, there were more than just meat here.

Among the usual axe, magic stone, skin, horn, more magic stones…

“Hm? This is…?”

It was a large, doubled edged sword with a longer than usual handle, obviously made for a two handed grip. Although it was large, it was too small for a Gigantic Minotaur.

It was not until I had picked it up that I finally recognised it.

“Hey, isn’t this the sword used by one of the Adventurers in that other party here?”

“Looks like it,” said Fer casually.

“I wonder why it’s here…” [9] I looked around the room and froze. [5b]

[9]

Aside from the bastard sword, there was a smaller sword and an axe.

“The team earlier had probably been annihilated,” said Fer. “That sword belongs to the strongest in the group. If he’s dead, the rest must be too.”

“I- I see… So, I-I am holding a dead person’s… sword? Wait, why hasn’t the dungeon absorb it?”

“Mu, it’s probably made with some special metal or mineral, dungeons have harder time absorbing non-organic matter.”

“I-is that so…” I looked around the fallen weapons scattered among the monster Drops. “Even the strongest party is destroyed just like that…”

“This is the dungeon, these things happens.”

““Those who enter the dungeon must resolve to kill or be killed,”” said Dora-chan wisely.

“Eh, if that’s the case. I-”

““Master is different, of course. You have us!!””

Umu, that’s right. You have the luxury to be weak. We will not let you die.”

“You guys…” I was getting rather emotional.

“Otherwise, our food supply would be cut off.”

“”Yeah, that would be tragic, I haven’t been eating your food for even a year yet.””

“... I was wrong to feel touched.”

[9]

“”Hahah, that was a joke! A joke! I have great fun travelling with you guys! Fer, Sui, you guys feel the same, right? Right?””

“Umu, I supposed it’s more interesting than travelling alone.”

“”Sui likes being with everyone~””

“Humph, that’s what you all say, but you’re all after me for food,” I sniffed.

“”Well, travelling wouldn’t be half as fun or interesting without Master’s food, so Master is the best!”” Dora-chan said as he patted me on my shoulder.

Humph, looks like this little dragon knows how to coax people. Feeling a little better, I said, “What do you think we should do with these?”

The two swords and axe looked very lonely on the floor.

Mu, I suppose you could take them.”

“”They’d be absorbed by the dungeon if you leave them here anyway,” said Dora-chan with a shrug.

“That’s true. I supposed I could turn them over to the Adventurer’s Guild and let the authorities know what happened to these guys…”

Thus, we collected the weapons along with the Drops and made our way to the 38th floor…

“Bumoooooo!!!”

It was a very familiar roar.

“Kukuku, looks like we’re lucky.”

“”Haha, indeed. I bet it’s thanks to our good deed!””

“”Meaty~ meaty~!”

Indeed, it was the roar of a Gigantic Minotaurs.

“Alright, time to hunt!”

“”Hyahaha!””

“”Meaty~!””

As expected, the Meat Lover Trio were ecstatic to find ourselves being attacked by even more Gigantic Minotaurs. By the time we reached the Boss Room, we managed to collect even more meat than we had from the previous floor.

“Well, I don’t think we’ll have a shortage of Minotaur meat for a good while…”

[Gumihou: Ah, is that why those poor things are nameless?]

[1] Structural Change: Combine 2 paragraphs

[2] Structural Change: Combine 3 paragraphs

[3] Structural Change: Combine paragraph & dialogue

[4] Structural Change: Change passive sentence to dialogue

[5] Delete Repetitive or Pointless Information… starting to delete pointless scenes now

[a] Deleted Mukouda’s pointless question to the trio re monsters. Since, you know, he personally witness how they trashed those monsters with his own eyes? Several times?

[b] Deleted ‘Boy, you’re dumb moments’ for poor Mukouda

[6] Additional Information for Aesthetic Purpose

[7] Add Dialogue Tag

[8] Creative Licence Taken – add scratch card joke. Since [5a] is probably there as a comedic moment.

[9] Give Mukouda back his brain. [5b] really isn’t fair, since it was mostly there for comedic purpose. Change it to dramatic realisation instead.
