I recorded the audio on my blue yeti, but the audio file was corrupted and not usable. I defaulted to my internal mic on my camera, but the internal mic, unlike my blue yeti, picks up white noise and is poor in registering my voice over my manipulating objects. I rendered the video late last night, but ran into copyright issues with the music I used. Although all the songs picked were from 1922, so they’re fair use and within public domain, companies re-recorded those songs and those recordings of the same song from 1922 are under copyright. I had to return to the drawing board, take free music from the YouTube audio library, edit the tracks to suit the mood, and re-render the video. However, each time I render the video, I have to do it twice. Why? Because the white noise from the internal mic needs to be addressed. I process the audio to remove white noise and lower the frequency to limit any high pitches and re-render the video a second time with improved audio. Now, the error I ran into the second time (first was copyright) and was the audio is now too loud and some parts are missing, so I had to return to the drawing board and restart the whole process. Granted, it’s my responsibility and I thoroughly enjoy the process, even though it’s taxing, but that’s why I haven’t uploaded an early access video yet and the premiere keeps disappearing.
Furthermore, I’m continuing on my personal schedule, so I intend to finish my 1930s video today and make it accessible on Patreon by tonight. More details to follow.
