Announcement: Fanart Feature + Minor Updates (Patreon)

Fanart Spotlight
You may remember a few weeks ago when we posted a fanart from an artist a few of you might have recognized – Daikung! In that post we said that we would be posting fanarts regularly to Patreon, and we wanted to do that now! Below are lots of different images made by you, our fans!
Thank you to everyone who has submitted any fanarts of the game so far, and we would always love to see more! Don’t stop sending them to us, as we will happily feature them on our Patreon page for everyone to see!
Note: We're featuring the fanarts that were submitted in the past first, if you have recently made a Camp Buddy fanart, they will be featured eventually in the coming months!

Patreon Crossover
Next we wanted to show you guys another special crossover – an artwork made by another artist that you guys may know, Suiton! Suiton requested to draw two of our campers, Natsumi and Hiro, and we were really excited to see them in his style!

We have also been discussing this in our team and wanted to know what you, our Patrons, would think about us doing an official crossover in the next month’s rewards! Character Design Contest Runner-Ups
The next thing we wanted to bring up with everyone was something that has been a long time coming! Back in the later parts of 2016, we held a character design contest through the efforts of Andrew Dill (our top pledger) in which one of Camp Buddy’s side characters was created by you, our fans! The winner of this contest was Aihara Shintaro, or Seto, as most of you may know him, but there were two other entries that came very close to joining the cast! As thanks for these two entries creator’s sending us in such great designs, we promised them a character sketch back when the first contest had ended. We’re sorry for the delay, but here are those sketches now!
Mike Murphy by Charles Reimer - Mike loves the outdoors year round, and, while not a people person, he spends every summer at camp for all of the group activities that are too dangerous to go out and do alone. Ever since his parents got divorced, he has become proactive in trying to join various camps and scouting groups, since he can no longer go on weekend adventures with his dad. He is usually mistaken as childish due to his looks and height. His design inspiration is an armadillo!
Rory Moreau by Alvasia - A boy who grew in an orphanage who managed to get into Camp Buddy by raising his own funds, hoping to meet new people and experience to belong to a real home. He's pretty humble over all, and tends to get both embarassed by compliments and certainly enjoys the ego stroking. Keeping to himself most of the time, he doesn't normally start conversations with people unless they start first. But when they do, he has a certain air of confidence that draws people in.
Note: These characters are not Official Camp Buddy characters and will not be appearing in the final game.

Game Development Updates
New BLits Writer: Wade
We'd like to announce that a new member has joined BLits to help us develop Camp Buddy~! Please give a warm welcome to our new writer: Wade`!
As you may all know, storywriting process has been taking majority of our time in this development process, and we've always tried to improve our procedures. We figured that letting in another writer who understands the vision we want for Camp Buddy would definitely help speed up this process!
Opening Video Progress
Another item that we had mentioned before in our major update was the opening video animation. Unfortunately, we have to inform everyone that the video is not completed quite yet, but it’s coming along great! We will post the official video as soon as it is completed by our animator, Howl! Please stay tuned~
New CG Animator(s)
On a brighter note, we've mentioned in our previous major update that we have been looking for CG Animators to pursue the animation feature of the game! And we're glad to announce that a handful of animators are now in probation to determine if they are qualified for the tasks at hand! With this great news, the animation feature now has a higher probability of being pushed through into the game!

Camp Buddy Discussions Around the Web
Lastly, we wanted to address a few concerns we have received and noticed around the internet. We love to see forums actively discussing Camp Buddy online, but we have occasionally noticed some fans defending the game so harshly that they were insulting others and saying harmful things whenever anyone leveled criticism at the game. Camp Buddy encourages positivity and we believe it would benefit everyone to try their best to be nice when discussing it with others! If you guys do come across concerns about the game or fans, you can of course send us a message directly and we'll do our best to address it! We want to encourage everyone to be kind to one another, and have great discussions about the game together that will help us all move forward!

Lastly, our programmer, Jey, has been working hard on the programming of the game itself, and we’ve decided to allow him to post snippets of scenes in the game for our fans to see! He posts them usually every day on twitter, so please check it out if you want to see more live updates!
