Whoever said you can't teach an old dog new tricks was a dumbass. Also I'm not that old, and I don't learn that many new tricks, and I'm not even a dog, but I QUITE LIKE THIS PIECE IT IS NICE I HOPE YOU LIKE IT TOO IT IS FULL OF TECHNICAL TRICKS AND ALSO STARS (my god)


Also it took me like 2 months to finish.

But I had breaks. Many breaks.

One was probably around a month. Or more.

Because it was turning out kinda unsatisfying.

Glad I decided to finish it because in the end it might just be one of my nicest pics. WOOP!

O.o Hjalta is very unique. I was not expecting her to be magical. Very cool. What does something like this take to render now that you are doing all these fancy new heavy hardware things?

One of the best things about this piece is that I can use it as my phone's new wallpaper! Beyond that, I like the new techniques, Tchai. The array of hues and light also give the piece a great flow from top to bottom!

Absolutely! C: I saw almost no improvement for about a year until I got this wonderful beast. :D The old one was so limiting, I couldn't even try a whole lot of tricks. D: Thanks!

Actually the tricks I used in this one aren't that demanding! The only crazy things here would be the amount of polygons (tessellation), grass, and hair. Also a volumetric atmosphere, because I can. C: The aurora borealis, stars, and fire - those are pretty simple, just required a technique. It DID take like 5,5 hours to render tho, mainly because I went nuts with the sampling. XD Thanks! :D
