The country I live in is full of old palaces and manors, many of them run down - abandoned for decades, if not centuries. Which is sad, but also very beautiful in its own way. Where life once was, another took its place. The old walls are alive, and an empty house is never truly empty.

This is one of my favorite things about urban exploration - no matter how forgotten by humans a place becomes, it never really dies. The only thing that changes is its inhabitants, and so its history continues to be written. Just by something else.
