She stared out the window. The rainy sky was misleading. "Too bad winter is nothing like that," she whispered. Then got back to reading.

If you're not one of the $10+ Patrons, meet Hjalta Sumarrós Magnþórsdóttir, or just Hjalta. She's a highland cow living in Iceland. Now let's see how interesting I can make the process of you getting to know her. C: I'll just say right now that she's not tied to any setting, so I can do whatever with her. Expect some pictures with her and my other characters! :D

Also posting this in full size for everyone, for it is tchaidition to post a character intro piece in full size. ENJOY! :D

Hjalta has come out quite nicely. Oddly enough, it reminds of a girl I knew. I love these sorts of thoughtful pieces, more a mood than an exhibition. Puts me at peace.

Very nice introduction picture. It's reminiscent of my past when i was 6. Sitting in the house looking out the window as the rain floods the front yard. Happy to see future development with this character. Curious to know the connection of this book to you? Is it a childhood favorite? I've never heard of it before. Good thing there was a plot translation on Wikipedia. Sounds like a good story to read.

Oooh, nice! Fun fact: she's sorta inspired by two people I know/used to know. Thank you! ^.^

I've never actually read any of the moomin books (I want to, just no time for reading), but I grew up with the TV series. So yes, it is strongly connected to my childhood. Probably the most nostalgic thing for me. Thanks!
