I made this piece back in 2014, but since at that time I wasn't posting anything even remotely lewd, it remained private.  I've always loved the idea of it though, and didn't want it to go to waste like that, so I've decided to update, re-render, and reprocess it - and this is what you see here. Took about 2 days to do, and that's nice because I really didn't have time for regular arting this month. :^) I have been super focused on a new character; you'll see the result of that very soon. :3c

I'm also uploading the original version from 2014 so you can see the improvement. ;3;

I didn't redo the pose; it would take too long, but I did update the hair, also the scene elements have some nice chamfering now, I've reworked the lighting a bit, and completely redid the postwork (except for the waterfall thing because that was kinda perfect tbh linda).

So yeah. Oh, and this was probably my first real, polished NSFW piece ever. So that's nice.

I'm also posting this in full size for ALL Patrons! C:
Enjoy! :D

Additional fun facts:

  • The old version took 52:52 to render. The new one - 51:06. Note that I have a much more powerful computer now, so even with a significant sampling quality increase, and MUCH slower hair, it's still a little faster. XD
  • The old version, after initial processing of render data, was made of 7 files that took about 330 mb in total. The new one is 24 files that take about 638 mb. :^)
  • The old PSD is 194 mb. The new one is 346 mb. :^)

Graye

While I would say this sort of thing is well out of my wheelhouse, I also think it is rather beautiful. On a simple aesthetic level, I like it a lot. It is images like this that make me wish our sense of what is appropriate and inappropriate was very different.

Wow, this stunning. Ive got to agree with Graye on this one, I dont find it lewd at all, it feels more artistic and an expression of self. Ie the act she is doing is lewd, but her portrayal of her lewdness is artistic (if that make sense lol) Strangely enough I feel i prefer the old version, not because of update to texture and detail, but because of the lighting. I feel that the darker tone really sets the mood.

:thinking: lookie here. The visual gasp of air looks stunning seeing it again.

I was considering making it actually simulated, but I figured it was pretty good as it was, so I just retoned that instead. XD And, you know, time.

I dunno, I just wanted the lighting to still be very much a silhouette, but at the same time softer, showing more than just that. I'm not a big fan of making characters completely unreadable. XD Back when I first made this, I wasn't that experienced at lighting and postwork as I am now. ;3; I assure you it would've looked more like the updated version if I knew better. XD Also thank you very much!

I guess in art everything should be considered appropriate. What is and isn't good or right just boils down to personal opinion. Regardless, thank you!
