Most of you probably already forgoat about that noodle dragon I started making QUITE A WHILE AGO. And I don't blame you. It was probably like a year. I occasionally do a couple of adjustments to various WIP characters, and this time it was Lianyun's turn.

As you (probably don't) remember, his face was supposed to be doglike; kinda like Anubis - and it is. But yesterday I wanted to try a thing, and here it is! Also note it's still a very rough sketch; not much work has been done since last update, so pardon the extremely unpolished look.

Previous face:

New face:

As you can see it still looks a bit like Anubis, but kinda more unique. Personally I'm leaning a little towards the new one, but wouldn't mind going with the old one. Also I might want to make the nose bigger in the new face.

Anyway, which one do you prefer?

P.S. Of course I forgoat to make this a "one response per person" poll because those options are hidden under a barely noticeable dropdown for some stupid reason, so please make sure you only pick one option. :^)

Not having as much detail makes it a bit harder to choose. The new one kinda looks like a bull terrier so certainly more dogish. Though im liking the old one more as the new "terrier" nose is a bit flatter and has less detail.

Graye

I ABSOLUTELY remember this noodle dragon and have long been hoping you would keep up work on him! Especially with him as your only male character. I love the girls, but it might be nice to see a male around somewhere. I thought there was a ton of potential in having him around. (I mean, Neverending story homage anyone?) All of a sudden, sky scapes might have to become a thing! Or skimming speedily over a babbling river? So many opportunities. Anyhow, the short of it is I am excited. While the head shape doesn't change a lot for me, I do vote for a bigger nose!

Randochi

I can vote for both btw. The large nose version appeals to me more because I'm into goats with roman noses. I know it's not anywhere close to a roman arch.

I feel like the added thickness will both allow for more detail to be presented (more surface area to work with), and helps fill out the character as a robust udon noodle instead of a skinny (but still tasty) somen noodle.

I don't know if there WILL be a whole lot of surface detail, because I actually wanted this noodle to be kinda long and smooth and sleek and stuff. The new face still fits that direction, but looking at the poll results I will probably just do a 50% blend of both. XD

You can bet I'll totally make a Neverending Story reference - if not more than one! ;3; The poll results are inconclusive so far, so I might have to do a 50% blend of the two, which will make the change even more subtle. XD But I can definitely make the nose itself bigger afterwards, and maybe it'll stay. Depends on how well it fits.

I'm only working on the primary forms right now; details have no place here yet, so only look at the silhouette. And yes, I was aiming for a bit of a bull terrier look. :3c And with the poll results being how they be, I'll most likely do a 50% blend of before and after. XD
