It’s coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.

Yeah, that previous pic was an april fools prank. I won't be making single use characters. I might make more quick ones, but definitely not more often than once in a few months, it's still pretty exhausting (and requires a unique enough idea). But as you can see, I will continue making mostly memes.

Just kidding, this was purely coincidental.

Anyway, her name is Pekelo Pele, and she is a native Hawaiian.

Above image resized, full versions of both are attached.
Enjoy! :D

P.S. I don't like sand either it would seem! That's why I made two versions. Like it should be there, but I'm not sure if I like how it came out. Bear with me as I improve my skills. C:

P.P.S. Don't forget about this thing if you haven't tossed in your five cents yet! Unless you don't want to, that's also fine.

Pekelo is adorable. :3 And wow, this is fantastic - awesome to have the with and without sand versions too. She's got really attractive little paws, rendered out in unbelievable detail as always. I can sorta sympathize with her too - sand really does get everywhere, though how irritating it can be depends a lot on where it is. Some sand is fine and sole, and very rounded/smooth bits when you look at it under a magnifying glass. Others are more coarse or jagged - and those are the ones that suck. :P As for the other "thing" - I think I'm gonna refrain from even looking because I'll never be able to unsee it. <_>

How much more time does it require to render the sandy pieces on the body over not any at all? I'd say its quite miniscule with the amount you had, but I'm curious.

The sandless version took about 30 minutes less to render, but that may be due to computer usage circumstances. I rendered both in low thread priority, and worked on stuff while rendering one, but only noodled about on the internet while rendering the other) So I'd say the actual difference would've been maybe 10-20 minutes faster without sand. Or maybe it's 30 minutes, who knows?

Additionally, she's really small, and the sand grains here are roughly 0,3 mm in diameter, so while this sand is rather fine, it can still pretty coarse for her. XD Thanks! Also yeah, don't look at that other thing. XD

OMG i somehow missed this one. I love it! The skin texture is great and the hair is just perfect. Really happy with how she has turned out.

THAT MAKES TWO OF US Not the missing part, the being happy with how she's turned out. Thank you! <3
