What are your expectations with this Patreon? (Patreon)

The title basically says it all if you don't want to read my likely rambling thoughts, etc.

When I set this up there'd already been a beta tester group in place for some time & I didn't want to make this into a pay to beta test option. However it's come up a number of times now that that's what's expected.

The aim was for this purely to be a means of providing financial support irrespective of access to builds but if someone was a patron & we'd had some interaction then I'd be more than happy to also add them as a beta tester (which is how I tend to do beta tester access).

I have also looked at what could be done to get access from here integrated in some form with the forum which I use to manage beta access but that doesn't have a clean existing solution to do it afaict. So for now it's still a manual process reliant on having a WACUP forum account or I alternatively just roll my own solution & have 2 systems being managed.

However with how Patreon works, my concern is that automatic access to the betas is not something I want to do because they're often not 100% stable which is why they're limited access. The other issue is that it's possible to sign-up, get access & then not pay the pledge which a number have done & I don't think that's right but it's how this platform works.

So what is expected & what should I be looking at changing?
