A few days later than planned here's the new #WACUP #beta builds for 2022 with Friday's 1.6.1.10342 & the newly uploaded 1.6.2.10456 from today available for the beta testers in x86 & x64 flavours. The changelogs are at

These builds represent a load of work over the past 7 weeks (especially over the last 5 days - I'm knackered!) with the introduction of an all native x64 build which definitely has it's limitations but is a key step in moving WACUP away from needing anything from Winamp to run.

The x64 builds will be remaining as a beta only option for some time to come as they're missing some aspects which I'm sure a lot won't appreciate not being there but that'll be sorted over the rest of what is now into the 7th year of WACUP & it's plug-in pack to player journey.

A new preview build is still a way off as the x64 bug bit me so I get some won't be happy but once the replacement local library is fleshed out a new preview build will appear & should be worth the long wait.

This set of builds also finally provides supported command-line support from WACUP (it's never been officially supported & has been broken for ~9 months in the betas) so should be welcome to the beta testers who stepped out due to relying on that feature from the preview build.

Here are all WACUP beta build changelogs & are freely available for all to see even if access to the beta builds is limited as they're often not ready for wider consumption. Preview build changelogs are here & will often be a combination of the changelogs provided here.

Yay now my SPC files show their proper metadata info on playlist. Was the only little pet peeve I still had. Love it. 👍👍

2023-03-25 06:14:06 I was hoping it was also going to work for you after I found the original code for the snesamp wrapper plug-in over the holiday & finally got around to comparing what I'd broken with it. So that's one more thing off my todo list, yay :)

This week seems to have flown by despite 2 long days spent trying to track down the cause of some x64 build issues which thankfully haven't been an issue for the majority. Will probably be around the end of the month I do the next beta build as 1.6.2.10456 appears to be behaving.
