First off, I’d just like to give a little head’s up that this next post will be quite different. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably noticed that in the last few days I was adding AI art in my stories. Last week I was invited to try out Midjourney; a new "art-making" tool in closed beta, AI-powered generating images by feeding it words or phrases.

It is quite impressive to say the least, me and a few guys from work invested quite a lot of time into this, we were just amazed on how crazy and scary this tool is.

Here I prompted words like, Women bodies on set, behind the scene couch, intertwined, wires, chains, leather, cameras, spikes, vhs, in the style of Todd Hido --ar 16:9

We found out that the sentence: “in the style of” helps a lot. In some generation you can clearly see the style and colours of Todd Hido.

Yeah I know, it's fucking creepy, I love it, it makes me feel like my whole body of work sucks, I wanna shoot images like this now haha.

For these I prompted: Female cyborg with body modifications in front of depanneur at night surrounded by demons with cameras, neonoir, film noir, in the style of Gregory Crewdson --ar 16:9

You can almost feel the compositions of Greg Crewdson. Depanneur because I know images of depanneurs always bring the good lights.

Crazy and fascinating how it can just generate random imagery from just words.

It generates 4 images like this:

Each generation is random, you can redo it as many times as you like and it will generate new stuff. You can also make variations or decide to Upres, this is where the magic and funky details happen.

Sure it’s always a little weird, ok yeah very weird, and not logical at all, but I guess the logic part will come with time and then it’s going to be even scarier. Maybe skynet scary! With the state of the world right now it wouldn’t be a long shot I’m sure.

I noticed that mixing the words chains & cameras were creating interesting imagery so I played with this a lot.

Next ones are: women bodies from hell surrounded by big cameras and dark creatures, chains, blades, leather, in the style of Mad Dog Jones --ar 16:9

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but how fucking cool is that!?

I also got flagged a few times by instagram for nudity and sexual activity with a few of these, even AI art is a no go on IG, if it can spot something looking somewhat like a nipple, watch out, it will.

Mixing words like Black Women gave me cool shit too:

Concept artists don’t think this is funny though, in fact some of them are scared that this can harm them in the long run. Sure it can help create ideas and start from there, but the more the machine learns the better it gets. Imagine if it can be super precise, this can be a game changer. There are already Prompt artist out there, taking pride and credit to their creations.

I’m just having fun, many a little too much fun, it's hard to stop. I'm always like; what will it give me if I mix these words in or try these instead, there is no end to this.

My first generations were these, I prompted something like: crazy wrestler in scary attic.

LOL, so fucked up.

This ain’t free btw, after my initial free tryout, I had to pay monthly to continue, I had too, I couldn’t just stop there.

For the following generation I used names of artist like Jakub Rozalski and Zdzisław Beksiński:

How fucking nice are these?

Even names like Helmut Newton:

And my man David Lynch, which gave this nice palette:

Classical painting will give you good stuff as well:

And I was also wondering what the machine was thinking of Roe v Wade:

Anyway, check out the gallery above for the rest of these, I made quite a few.

I hope this was not a waste of your time, I felt this would make a fun post, interesting to say the least, if you have any questions or comments please don't hesitate.

Goodnight!

Monsieur Hummus

Complètement insane en effet ! Quand tu génères les images , tu peux export en hi res ? Ça sent la gang d’influenceur qui vont commencer à vendre des prints «de leur art». Très Black Mirror tout ça

Very Nine Inch Nails.
