Hey guys, just a quick update on the state of things and some heads-up.

First a reminder for whoever missed last month's notification:
If you have zero interest in supporting the development of an original NSFW game, please make sure to remove your pledge before the end of December.

For $2.5 tier patrons: The main reward will switch to simply receiving Coills for your pledges.
There's a chance this will become unsustainable in the long term, so please consider switching to the $5 tier if your budget allows it.

Now some thoughts on the new project:

I've learned that it'd be wise to first make sure the core of your game is actually fun before you start putting tons of effort on things like art assets, music, etc. Seems like it's really easy to get carried away for months or even years on a crappy idea!

Therefore, I'll keep the scope of the game small for now, with the possibility of expanding further if things work well.

Early on I'll focus on developing the core mechanics so we can quickly figure out what works best, keeping the least critical assets somewhat presentable but simple. Of course, I will continue to put the same amount of effort into the NSFW assets as always.

On that note, I believe this kind of game may benefit from having a wider variety of NSFW content than my usual "2-illustrations with variations". I'll still do two-piece creations (especially early on), but eventually I think it'd be worth trying out a few different types of NSFW content.
For example, instead of the usual, an Update may come with:

  • 3+ separate unique NSFW illustrations (e.g.: The player is sent a few lewd pics by a girl)
  • 1 piece with many variations (e.g.: For especial/major scenes)
  • Alternative styles (e.g.: The player finds a collection of NSFW drawings of himself and a girl in her sketchbook OR pixel art animations in an in-world game)
  • Any sort of animation will probably take at least as much time as the usual two illustrations

In the end I will still pour the same amount of effort on these as the usual "2-illust." creations, so I think that will come across and the variety will spice things up for you guys. As always, if something doesn't seem to work, I'll aim to avoid it in the future.

Lastly, please keep in mind that my Patreon tiers/rewards may need to change again in the future if I find out the current system doesn't work well with this kind of project. For example, maybe I'll find out people don't like having multiple versions of the game as it's being developed and instead would rather have major updates every few months, while supporting on a monthly basis (similarly to other top games).

Of course, if I decide I need to make a change, I'll inform everyone beforehand.

Well that's about it, time to get to work, see you next update!
