It's S&F Extra time! Which means it's time for another behind-the-scenes look at what I've been up to in the last month. Woo!

Halloween Trio
As usual, all these pieces were drawn on paper with pen and ink, then coloured digitally! You'll find a little timeplapse animation of the colour stages in the gallery up top, and photos of all the orignals I drew this year a little later in this post!

Sam and Fuzzy Babies
This comic was loosely inspired by the announcement of the newest Dragonball show, although it's really more of a riff on baby-fied versions of American cartoons. In particular, it always cracks me up when they make baby versions of characters who would never have met as babies. Like why does baby Mickey hang out with baby Pluto? Are they suggesting that Mickey and his dog are the same age?!?

Anyhow, this comic was drawn entirely digitally on an iPad in Procreate!
You can watch a full timelapse video of this comic being created here. (A shortened GIF version is in the gallery up top.)

Fuzzy Flamethrower
This is a portrait of someone's D&D character! When they told me their character used a "teddy bear flamethrower", I figured this was the perfect opportunity for Fuzzy to photobomb the piece. FWOOSH!

Anime Pets
This quartet of pet portraits shares an anime cosplay theme. From top to bottom, left to right, these critters are dressed as Lupin the Third, Zoro (from One Piece), Azula (from Avatar), and Mitsuru (from Akira). Yes... we managed to get two Lupin cosplays into a single S&F Extra this month!

Ghostbusters
I recently posted this older commission on the Sam and Fuzzy website, so I thought I'd reshare this timelapse GIF of its production in case anyone was curious to see it! You can find the finished piece (with added dialogue) in the gallery.

S&F Halloweeen 2023
Here's a photo of all six of the dress-up S&F pieces I drew for Halloween this year! (As well as the Barbie-themed one from back in September.) I had a lot of fun making these. I enjoy experimenting with different mediums and drawing devices, but ink on paper is still my favourite. It's like comfort food for my art brain!

Ruby Mummy
As some of you will already know, I also drew a few Halloween pieces for the Saucy Hippo tier. I thought this one turned out extra cute, so I made a SFW edit so I could share it with y'all. Elf mummy!

Thanks, everyone!
