An extra spicy new two-image set has been added to the Saucy Hippo Vault! There are also some variant versions with and without the outfits. You'll find the full (very) NSFW versions of all of 'em Recent Additions.

Things are a little hectic over here right now in the run up to my rapidly incoming nuptials, and my brain is a little wiped for writing and jokes. So I decided I'd just give myself a break and draw something really indulgent and fun to make. I hope none of you mind!

Let me know if you like this sort of image set, or if it's not the same without jokes and/or 30 pages of narrative lead-up. lol! If you really desire some context for these ones, my thinking was that these are photos Sam took. (Maybe I can add more to the "photo set" later next time I need a break.)

i definitely don't see you as any kind of "x" guy, your work is pretty broad, i'd say. especially your saucy hippo stuff

One of the things I've always loved about your Saucy Hippo comics is that they don't feel like sexualized versions of otherwise sexless characters. They feel like comics that could have gone on the main site if not for all the dangly bits. But even without 30 pages of lead up (which are definitely my favorite), you've given these characters so much development that these are still fucking awesome. All of that is just to say I absolutely do not mind something really indulgent and fun and am gleefully awaiting the next ones.

That is definitely my goal with the Saucy Hippo comics! The characters are the same people that they are in all my other work. These are just comics about a different side of their lives. As you said, these are not sexless characters, so it's not a big stretch to think of stories for them that can include sexy stuff. But really, it's not much of a stretch to think of concepts for stand-alone "indulgent" art like this, either. I mean, the series is full of established pairings and setups that are already there to bounce off of... it's not like it's tremendously difficult to rationalize. I think the main reason I don't do it more is I maybe have a little bit of insecurity about it. Like, am I a talented enough "smutographer" now to just draw a hot spicy picture? (lol!) Or does my smutty art need to be in service of a larger story or joke for people to really get something out of it? So I appreciate the feedback!
