It's S&F Extra time! Here's a behind-the-scenes look at what I worked on last month.

In the gallery above, you'll find the full sized images of each piece.  And down here, I'll provide some info about each one!

Marker Portfolio Pieces (Set 2)
Here's another set of marker illustrations that I put together for my portfoilo! You can view full-sized photos of each piece in the gallery above.

The corgipede, Rouge, and Peg and Pete are pulled from my archives. The dog trio and Loki cat, on the other hand, are brand new pieces I created to serve as examples of my pet portrait commissions when I'm exhibiting at conventions. I definitely have a reputation as the "pet portrait guy", which I am happy to encourage, because I love drawing animals! (As you may have noticed.)

Tiger She Hulk and Leopard Jack of Hearts
Every year at Emerald City Comic-Con, this one particular fan of mine commissions a new animal-themed superhero piece. He's a big fan of Spider-Ham, and I believe the first one I drew for him was "Captain Americat" from those original 80s Ham comics. But I've drawn a ton of pieces for him since then, often creating animal versions of characters who never appeared in the Ham universe.

This latest piece features wild cat versions of She Hulk and Jack of Hearts, inspired very specifically by the current run of She Hulk comics. I definitely took this one in a more "anthro" direction than the usual Spider-Ham art... I was kinda thinking about Blacksad when I drew it, just because they are cat people. But I think it turned out cute!

Brain consumes a reader
Speaking of Emerald City, another regular reader of mine asked if I would draw a picture of him being consumed by Brain. Of course I would! Rest assured, if you ever decide you want to commission me to draw you being iced by one of my villains, I will do it. (Y'know, just in case you've been thinking about it.)

Pet Portrait Quartet
You can find the full-sized versions of all four of these pieces in the gallery above! They include:
-Godzilla Corgi
-Scream Cat
-Ghostbusters Cat
-Star Trek Dogs

All four of these were commissions from this year's Emerald City Comic-Con. (Yes... I was very busy down there, haha!)

Jess Cosplaying as Android 18
Unlike everything else in this post, this particular piece was drawing digitally, not with markers! I drew it on my iPad in Procreate, as part of a set of six illustrations I made for the Saucy Hippo tier. (Jess gained a tank top for this version to make it sfw, lol.)

I'm really enjoying drawing in Procreate, although I'm sticking with "pencil" line-art for now. (I'm still getting the hang of the program's inking tools.)

Marker Portfolio Set 1
And last but not least, you'll find the full-sized versions of all six of the pieces from this set in the gallery above, too. Enjoy!
