S&F Extra - November 2022 (Patreon)

It's S&F Extra time! Here's a behind-the-scenes look at what I worked on last month.

In the gallery above, you'll find the final versions of each piece, as well as some "making of" animated GIFs.  And down here, I'll provide some info about each one!

"Inktober" 2022
As always, I had a ton of fun doing some stand-alone inked art for "inktober"... although I would love to still do some more! I did ten pieces in total... you'll find large versions of all of 'em in the gallery! The ten pieces are:

-Morrigan from Darkstalkers
-Rosalina and Rabbid Rosalina from Mario + Rabbids
-Spider-Gwen
-Four "non-canonical" rabbit characters from the Sonic franchise: Bunnie Rabbot (from the 90s cartoon), Mach (from the cut "Sonic's band" concept from Sonic 1), Sonic the rabbit (an abandonned early concept for Sonic) and Johnny Lightfoot (from the UK's Sonic the Comic)
-Two platformer pieces -- Specter Knight and Neon White (which I shared here last month)
-Mad Scientist Dev and Frankenstein X
-Fuzzy, Trevor and Bonus dressed as Sam's exes
-Two pin-ups -- featuring Succubus Gert and Robot Jess -- for the Saucy Hippo! (Which I have subtly censored here using carefully placed pens, lol)

Sailor Dogs
As you can probably guess, this is a custom pet portrait of someone's dogs as Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury. I think this one turned out pretty cute!

Beeps
It's Beeps, from my pal Jeph's webcomic Questionable Content! Jeph's characters are fun to draw.

Bunsen and Beaker as Bunsen and Beaker
You'll find a full animated making-of GIF of this piece in the gallery! It's my latest piece for Bunsen and Beaker, the social media science dogs. This time around, I drew them dressed up as their Muppet namesakes for Halloween.

This was surprisingly challenging to do! As you can see, I ultimately decided to approach it like they were wearing mascot costumes with big foam heads. I don't think the Muppet B&B are recognizable from their clothes and hair (or lack thereof) alone... you really need those distinct head shapes!

Dippy Hands
This pet portrait is of MY pet... it's my corgi, Dipper! As requested by my fiance, Dipper is dressed as Izzy Hands from Our Flag Means Death. (It's a great show if you haven't seen it, btw!) 

Succubus Gert
You'll find a full animated making-of GIF of this piece in the gallery, too! I think it's an interesting one to watch... you can see how I took the original scanned drawing and drew in the background and wing digitally before colouring it all. This piece was for the Saucy Hippo, but I wanted to make a SFW version of it to share more broadly just because I really like how it turned out!
