New this month are two new backgrounds (in Desktop Backgrounds), a big batch of new con sketches (in Con Sketches 5), and hi res versions of this month's Extra art -- and some enormous layered PSDs of the Harley/Ivy and Fighter pieces -- (in S&F Extra Hi Res)!

This month I've got one new original-character commission in both SFW and racier flavours (in both the regular and NSFW Commissions - Original folders), and an unusual (for me anyway) risque variant of this month's Harley and Ivy piece (in the NSFW Patreon Bonus Pin-Ups folder). I also put all the other versions of Harley and Ivy in there, too (in the regular Patreon Bonus Pin-Ups folder)!

I'm actually curious how you guys feel about variant stuff! And not just saucy ones, but also things like the "Animated Series" variant of the Harley Ivy piece. I see a lot of artists on Patreon doing them, but what do you think? Are they a fun way to get extra mileage out of existing art, or do you only really care about the original? Should I try making variants of other pieces in the vault?

First thing's first: I love all the new stuff, especially the Fighting Game bonus piece. I think the extra thought spent on the gameplay led to a richer picture in the end. I for one am a fan of variant pieces. There are diminishing returns, but variants can still feel suitably unique. In the "Harley and Ivy" piece, the costumes in the original fit the burlesque premise rather well. However, the "Animated Series" variant hits the nostalgia button much harder. The original isn't automatically my favorite just because it has the word "original" next to it, though I do like them all.

Thanks, Joshua! I thought this month's pieces turned out particularly well. Variants are an interesting realm! I liked the ones I did this month because they all felt like they... fit, I guess. Like, I've seen some Patreon artists take a sort of paper-doll approach to variants, making a dozen variations of each piece with every possible combo of wardrobe (or lack thereof, in some cases). I guess I'm curious how everyone feels about that? Personally, I'd feel a little silly inserting either random alternate outfits or extra sauciness into drawings where they don't mesh with the actual action or premise of the piece anymore. But when there's a piece where some sort of variant DOES fit, I'm not opposed to trying it, if it's something backers would enjoy as a fun bonus. So I'm open to suggestions of kind of variants that you all think would be cool, or particular existing vault pieces that you think would lend themselves well to them!
