It's S&F Extra time! Here's a behind the scenes look at what I worked on last month.

In  the gallery above, you'll find the final version of each piece, as well  as some step-by-step animated process GIFs.  And own here, I'll provide  some info about each piece!

Zombie Sin
I photograph my "Inktober" style drawings, rather than just scan them, to help convey that they are actual physical inked drawings. But I don't have the world's greatest lighting setup for photographing artwork! So once I've taken the photo, I have to adjust the white and black levels in Photoshop to get the nice, crisp looking pictures I post. In the GIF above, you can see the difference pre and post level adjustment.

This year, I also digitally coloured some of my "Inktober" style pieces! That, too, is done in Photoshop. It is kind of an eccentric process, but I think it looks neat, haha!

She Hulk Jess + Angel/Devil Dev/Jess
Speaking of editing Inktober pieces in Photoshop... these are two of the pieces I shared with Saucy Hippo backers a few days ago. Honestly, I just really liked how these drawings turned out, so I thought I'd create some PG edits so that I could share them with more people!

It was only a tiny tweak for She Hulk Jess. But I had to come up with entire outfits for the Angel/Devil piece. (Since, uh, there weren't any before, lol.) But it was fun! I like Dev's toga... it has a real homemade Halloweeen costume vibe.

Corgi
This was a commission of someone's corgi. It looks a lot like MY corgi, Dipper, though! I love tricolors. They are so cute!

Megaman
The custom arcade cabinet project continues! I shared the left side of the unit last month... this is the piece that will adorn the right side. You can see a process GIF of how it was drawn in the gallery above. I drew it digitally, at an ENORMOUS SIZE so that it could be printed huge!

Bunsen's Xmas
It's a little early for Christmas, but social media science dog Bunsen commissioned this piece early to use for some holiday merch. I had a lot of fun deciding what all the science-themed tree decorations could be, but the apple might be reaching a bit. (It's for gravity! Get it?)

Cross animals
This was a commission for a Kickstarter backer. It honestly blows my mind how huge the most recent Animal Crossing has been. It is wild to see what was once such a niche series grow to outsell Pokemon, Smash Bros, Mario, and Zelda.

'til next time, team!
