It's S&F Extra time! Here's a behind the scenes look at what I worked on last month.

In the gallery above, you'll find the final version of each piece, as well as some step-by-step animated process GIFs.  And own here, I'll provide some info about each piece!

Rock Band
Here's a look at how the colouring came together for this piece. I had a lot of fun with the lighting for this one! Rock Band was a staple in my friend group for a few years. (Like Fuzzy here, I usually played the drums.) I miss it! And also, you know, the seeing friends in the physical world in general.

Bub and Bob
As I mentioned last month, I've been commissioned to create some artwork for a reader's custom arcade cabinet! Here's the art I put together for the left side panel, featuring Bub and Bob from Bubble Bobble. I had to draw this HUGE, since it's going to be printed very large!

In the gallery above, you'll see some of the concept sketches and layout mockups I put together for the side panels. (We're going to be using that raised fist victory pose for the other side... it'll be Mega Man!)

Bunsen and Beaker Lab Disaster
Here's another piece I drew of social media science doggo Bunsen and his new sister Beaker.  This piece is supposed to evoke the chaotic lab scenes of their muppet namesakes. You'll see the (rather complicated) making of this piece in the GIF in the gallery above!

Bark
My corgi Dipper is here to bring you some chocolates! I drew this for my Mom. A couple of Christmas' ago, Dipper famously snuck into a closet and ate a bunch of chocolates intended for my mom, result in an exciting seasonal visit to the vet. (He was fine.)

Booga booga
This is the original sketch for the comic that ran on the S&F site today! Rikk said the idea came to him out of nowhere, and he had to jot it down before he forgot it. He says you never know when genius may strike.

Mystery Cat
Last but not least, here are a bunch of sketches of a new character who will be showing up in my comics soon! This character is going to need to be really active and expressive, and I'm exploring some faces and bodies that are a little different than my previous cat characters. I still haven't quite nailed it yet, but I'm working on it!

That's all for now, team. 'Til next time!
