So I mentioned I had four videos planned out for the start of this year. One just went live, which leaves three left. I've got motivation to work on all three, so I'm gonna try something new and work on all of them at the same time. But I am not sure which one I should prioritize to put out next month. So I wanna know your opinion! Which of the following would you like to see first?

Yeah SNES hardware registers are great, but have you guys raced beams? (SPC700 chips are also cool)

From what I've heard, the Atari 2600 only had enough RAM to hold two scan lines at once - one that the video chip was rendering from, and one for the CPU to draw into. I'd love to learn more about this!

I always heard it as there being no memory for the picture at all - the RAM was only enough for game state data, and each scan line had to be drawn on the fly. Looking forward to seeing which of these explanations is correct!

I'm a hobby musician, so of course I'd have to say SPC700. I'm, however, also excited to see the fantastic lineup of videos!

Intro to SPC700, no question, although I wish SNES assembly tutorials were an option, too.

According to Wikipedia, the machine has 128 bytes of RAM total and that has to be used for game state, stack, etc. I imagine fitting any kind of framebuffer in there too would be challenging.
