Hey all!

Hope you've been well. Sorry for the radio silence over the past few weeks, but its been for a good reason. For the first time in what feels like forever, I 've been traveling around and shooting interviews in-person for new documentaries! It feels nice to be back in action testing a whole new recording setup and I have some cool stuff coming to the channel in the next few months. Let's talk about them!

Tough Love Arena

I had a chance to sit with Paul Weeks and Amy Xu and chat about the story behind Tough Love Arena, the browser-based fighting game you can pretty much play anywhere. It's a pretty cool story that dives into making a fighting game in such a unique space with such a small team.

Max And YoVideogames

We're gonna go behind the story of Max's rise to prominence as a fighting game creator as well as the origins of the YoVideogames crew! Everyone was awesome to chat with (they even let me play some Smash Ultimate with them on stream) and I'm pretty pumped to get this one released.

The Story of Hitbox

I headed to Hitbox HQ to talk with Dustin Huffer, one of the minds behind the Hitbox. I've been learning the Hitbox on and off for the past couple of months in preparation for this video and it's very impressive as are the details behind its origin and design. I still need to do one more interview with Shawn, Dustin's brother, to finish the story, so this one will probably be a little ways out.

Get In The Ring: The Story of CEO

I recently took a trip to Orlando to chat with Alex Jebailey about the origins and inner workings of CEO. This one has some fun interviews with additional folks who work behind the scenes to make CEO what it is today as well as a sit down with Kenny Omega to detail just how this fighting game event hosted not only a NJPW wrestling show, but was also host to the second ever AEW show in the states. I'll also probably have a one off video with Kenny detailing his experience with fighting games and why he decided to include them in his wrestling persona too.

Skullgirls

I mentioned this in our Skullgirls compilation from last week, but I'm also planning a large doc on the origins and history of its game and community. Obviously there's some rough stuff that had happened to the team over the last year and change, but what I'm aiming to cover is the story about how this game and its fans always seem to persevere in the face of adversity. Expect this one deep into 2022 to make sure I can navigate this story just right.

There's a few other big projects I have cooking in the background (I'm looking at you, Marvel 2) but they're not fleshed out enough to really talk about at the moment. I'm also going to continue with shorter topic videos like the recent Worst Matchups feature as well as start to experiment with clips from older documentaries, Youtube shorts, and even TikTok to keep a variety of content coming to the channel. I'm also thinking about opening a public section to the discord to better help promote everything we're doing so let me know what you guys think of that.

So yeah, a bunch of cool things coming to the channel. Hope you all dig these ideas and look forward to their eventual release. Not setting any hard deadlines, but will share as much as I can while I'm editing to our various tiers. As always, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave them below and I'll answer ASAP. Thanks again for your continued support and more soon!
